Their story began on
a chilly spring day.

It had been barely warm enough
to go outside without a jacket
but still Seungmin had worn
a baby blue hoodie that day
combined with black
skinny jeans.

He was on his way to a job interview,
his third one this week because the other two companies didn't want him.

Apparently he was lacking
in his social skills, came off as
rude and not really interested in
the job he was applying for.

The red-haired boy didn't deny
that he wasn't the best at socializing and chatting with strangers but it wasn't like he didn't try, right?

He just came back from Japan
where he had spent the past two years to find himself again after he lost his family in a tragic accident.

It was hard but now he is back in Korea and ready for a new beginning which starts with finding a new job.

The library didn't want him and
the cafe also didn't want him either
so his last chance for this week was Hwang Industries where he had applied for a job as a secretary but
he didn't get his hopes too high.

Seungmin huffed as he stepped out of the bus and pulled his earphones out,
his gaze trailing over all the people who were rushing down the sidewalk,
some of them with bags in their
hands or dogs on their leash.

It was rush hour,
even the roads were crowded.

Once the traffic light turned
green for passengers,
the red-haired boy walked
over and turned left so he was
almost standing in front of the
tall glass facade building he had observed ever since the bus
had stopped.

Hwang Industries.

"Let's do this Seungmin,
maybe luck will be on your
side this time."

Seungmin was already dying
on the ride with the elevator,
it was too stuffed for his liking
and all the tall men in their suits
with their serious expressions
on their faces, it scared him.

He was just a small shy boy with
his round glasses on his nose looking like a lost puppy between a bunch of grown-up pitbulls.

The little 'ding' sound startled
him and he couldn't help but
shrink even more in his corner
of the elevator when the others
looked at him annoyed until he pushed himself through them
outside of that hell.
