[The Lost Hero & The Son of Neptune]

"He's here."

"Do you have any requests with your message? Or would that be it, Chiron, sir?"

"Nothing else, my boy. But please do remember about the oath."

"You have nothing to fear, I know what my duty entails, and this includes the discretion of information. If you won't mind, I'll take your message to Lupa and be off. There are many who have been requesting my services ever since 'they' locked down."

The kids he looked after were never the ones to use such words. Or be as prim and proper. Yet, he could hold nothing against the boy because the Greek and Roman upbringings had a clear line of difference. The stark contrast if joined together could be a more effective community of demigods, maybe even promising longer lives. But the civil wars he had observed, led by many of his own students, made him lose hope. But maybe the Queen of the Gods had more belief in these demigods than he knew.

"Yes, and thank you, Aleksander. I could only imagine how troubling it is."

"It's a duty, sir. One entrusted to me among many, so I'll honor it."

Even if the boy had gone his way, Chiron still nulled over their brief meeting. How strange that after many years of a family defying odds, it all ends with this boy. His death would end a part of history, and promise division unless they were to be reborn. "May the fates be with Aleksander Benedictus."
