Gadget: Nova Camera

User: Gabriel "Ze'ev" Rosen

Lead specialist
Elena María "Mira" Álvarez

Description: "For what the Nova camera lacks in subtly, it makes up in a pretty big bang. Capable of piercing both soft and hard walls, Ze'ev can detonate the camera and anyone in it's range is as good as dead though it still suffers counters from electrified walls and Mute's signal disrupters will jam it and can be shot."

Background
Born an Israeli, Gabriel Rosen's life was no stranger to conflict and violence, he and his brother Eitan were often isolated for their safety and homeschooled. Gabriel and Eitan were close as brothers and kept each other safe away from the violence and controversy whenever they could. they were around military figures throughout their lives and despite their reluctance, were conscripted into the IDF.

They wanted nothing to do with military life but understood they had to do it. They were simple soldiers in the IDF and rarely saw action but were soon called to action by the second intifada war, Gabriel and Eitan served in the same unit. For the first three years they killed plenty of Palestinians only cause it's war though the two definitely earned some nightmares from what they saw.

The two were deemed as candidates for Sayeret Matkhal and completed their training now hardened and more efficient. After the second intifada war, Gabriel and Eitan began working separately which affected their brotherly bond as they became more distant. They were part of the second Lebanon war where they worked with Ash when she was in the IDF.

This however would be a tragedy for Gabriel as Eitan would be captured by the Hamas and disappeared off the grid. Gabriel after this would retire from the IDF and leave for America with his two nephews taking the role as their father and supported them as best he could.

However Gabriel couldn't stay away from military as he joined the US Army but his history in the IDF and Sayeret Matkhal made him a special case since he didn't need basic training so he was given the opportunity to be a quiet professional or a Green Beret.

Gabriel when he began wasn't liked due to the fact he essentially skipped the line. John Wolf was the most notable as he saw Gabriel as a murderer since he was part of the IDF, early on the two fought often till Gabriel told John about what he went through and how he didn't agree with what he was doing.

The two formed a friendship of respect afterwards becoming Green Berets. Gabriel visited his nephews and their mother Naomi when he could though he and Naomi had a on and off relationship as they understood each other's pain and attraction but simply weren't a good match as individuals.

Psychological
"Complicated couldn't begin to describe Mr Rosen, he has seen and experienced more than most people. He doesn't speak fondly of his time in the IDF, calling it unpleasant as he felt like a machine and despised it as it makes his relationship with his nephews somewhat complicated as they are old enough to think they're entitled to know.

With that comes Eitan, Gabriel admits to feeling like he failed his brother and relives it often which makes it harder with his nephews as he wants them to be good and live good lives. However they feel vengeful wanting to avenge their father.

Gabriel unsurprisingly is stoic and almost devoid of humor, makes him not seem human but certainly makes attempts to not be that way. Gabriel suffers from a variety of things like survivor's guilt, PTSD, and insomnia. I'd question how he's still going but he is mostly certainly the kind of person who doesn't go down swinging."
