Part 11.

"Ok at least I didn't fall asleep this time!" I try to argue back to George after he got annoyed at me for reciting the lines of the movie. Mainly the Weasley Twins.
"I don't care! What if I actually wanted to hear what they were saying?" He yelled back.

Everyone else was just stood to the side laughing because there was me: a 15 year old Australian girl who was obsessed with Harry Potter, and there was also George: a 24 year old British man who just wanted to watch a movie even though he should have seen this coming. 

"Well you did hear what they were saying! You could just hear me as well!" I yelled with a smile. 
"Besides I don't get to watch these movies with a lot of people okay! None my my friends live in my country so I can't just walk to their house and be like 'wassup fuckers lets watch some fucking Harry Potter cause I want to! So if i'm watching my fav movies I'm going to recite every. Fucking. Word."  

That shut him up about me reciting lines, but also made him laugh because it was showing my true Aussie self. Aka me swearing my heart out. It also made everyone else laugh. I quickly calmed down and started talking like that argument just never even happened. 

"Right now that the movie is finished, it's now like 10 10:30? Soooo, time for bed?" I asked with a smile and then started walking up the stairs myself.
"Well you guys can stay up if you want but I don't know what else to do so i'm going to bed. Goodnight everyone." 

I hear a chorus of 'goodnights' and walk up the stairs to mine and Niki's room. I walk inside and get changed out of the clothes that I was wearing today and get changed into some pjs. I go into the bathroom that's connected to the bedroom and do my night routine quickly and then get dressed into some pjs. When I walk back out Niki is in her bed on her phone.

"Holy shit Niki!" I scream when I see her on her phone because I didn't hear her walk in.
"The fact that you came in here and made absolutely no noise amazes me, but also scares me a lot." I said and walked over to my bed. I put my phone on charge and then put it face down on the nightstand that was next to it. 

"Well I guess I am just a quiet person Maddy." She laughed and looked up at me. "Just don't scare me like that again okay? Now goodnight Niki." I giggled and laid on my side in my bed, facing the wall so that I wasn't distracted by her phone light.

Before I was one of the larger streamers I would always watch Niki's streams and videos. They made me feel so happy and just put me in such a good mood. Now that I think about it, I watched everyone streams and never thought that I would be part of it.

But here I am, in the UK, with 8 of the biggest streamers ever. If there weren't other people around me right now I think I would scream because it hadn't really hit me until now. I was thinking about this for 45 minutes to an hour and I couldn't manage to get to sleep.

I quietly got out of my bed and tried to tip-toe downstairs to the kitchen, making sure not to wake anybody up while doing so. I got a glass and filled it with water but when I turned around from the fridge I saw a figure walking down the stairs.

I didn't realise who it was until they reached the kitchen due to it being basically pitch black and I didn't want to wake anybody up by turning a light on. It turned out to be Tommy. He was wearing a dark blue jumper with a hood and some black sweatpants. 
"Tommy did I wake you up?" I ask him and walk towards the bench.

"Oh Maddy it's you. I didn't know who it was. Umm, no you didn't wake me up. I couldn't get to sleep." He explained and got himself a glass of water as well.
"Why are you up?" He asked me quietly and sat down in the seat next to me. 

"I couldn't sleep either." I say and we sit there in silence for a few seconds.
"Maybe if you didn't sleep on the plane, or in the car, or have a nap, or during our movie you would be able to go to sleep now." Tommy listed all of the times I fell asleep on his fingers which made us both laugh quietly.

"Yeah well I'm a teenager who needs rest okay. Just not now apparently." I slowly say to him. He looks at me and then what I was wearing.
"Wait how are you not cold?" He asked me and looked down at my pjs. 

I was wearing football shorts (Aussie ones. Look it up if you don't know what they are) and a loose t-shirt. 
"I come from Australia. It's always hot and when it is cold I don't really feel it." We stayed there talking for 15 more minutes until we both decided that it would be a good idea to try and go to bed. Again.

"Goodnight Tommy. Thank you for talking to me tonight, and for putting up with me while everyone else was gone earlier today." I laugh and thank him as we walk up the stairs. We started to get quieter making sure not to wake anybody up. 

"It was nothing honestly. You're super cool to hang out with, and I hope you are able to get some actual sleep, just please put some proper clothes on." He said before going into the room that he shared with Toby while I walked into my room and saw Niki look at me when I walk in. 

"Did I wake you up?" I ask and sit on the side of my bed.
"Kind of. I'm a very light sleeper and wake up to to pretty much anything." She said and I felt so bad.
"Oh Niki I'm so sorry. I tried to be quiet I promise." I said sorry to her.

"Maddy it's okay. I was barely sleep anyway, but who were talking to?" She questioned me.
"It was Tommy. Neither of us could sleep and so we just talked for like 20 minutes until we thought that it would be a good idea to try and sleep again."

I was smiling and luckily Niki couldn't see because it was so dark.
"Ok well I'm going back to sleep. We can talk about this tomorrow." Niki said and went back to sleep. 

I laid down in bed and closed my eyes trying to sleep. It wasn't very long until I fell into a deep dreamless sleep. I never realised how deep of a sleeper I am compared to others who wake up at the sound of a footstep.

Hey guys author here. Just wanted to hear your thoughts on this book so far and please tell me in the comments. Anyway the friendship has to progress for a little while before the relationship so this is probably going to be a slow-burn relationship. Sorry if you don't like those types.
