Harry Potter was just going to get the mail and was looking through it when he noticed something addressed to him, he quickly went and hid it in his cupboard and gave the rest to his uncle, he went back to his cupboard and opened the letter it read:
Dear Mr. Potter,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Enclosed in this letter is a list of all necessary books and equipment. Term begins September 1st. We await your owl by no later then July 31st

Minerva Mcgonagall
Deputy Headmistress
'Wizardry!? Does that mean I'm a wizard?' he thought to himself
'Ok, so here's what I'll do. I'll write a letter accepting the offer and ask them to send someone to pick me up. Yeah that's what I'll do' he found some paper and a pen and wrote,
Dear Minerva Mcgonagall,
I accept however due to certain circumstances, I am unable to go myself, so if you could send someone to come get me that would be appreciated
Sincerely,
Harry Potter.
'ok all I need to do now is find an owl' he went out back into the forest nearby to try and find one and only five minutes later he found one sleeping in a tree, he poked it and it startled awake, he held out the letter and said "Sorry for waking you, but do you think you could deliver this letter to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry?" The owl gave him an odd look but took the note nonetheless and flew of "I hope this works." He said aloud and went back to the house
