Chapter- 9 (Princess Cup -2)

After the incident with Palermo and the 'Kalos Queen ' title taken away from her she was determined to work hard and achieve the title of 'World Queen'. After that incident she used to train at her home with her Pokemons only. She cut all the connections with others except the one she trusted. By the time, she kept on working hard and kept improving herself. She also mastered Ryhorn racing with the help of her mother Grace, although she had mastered it still she couldn't beat her mother in it who was the champion in it.

Serena worked on herself to become more attractive and charming woman so that next time, she meets Ash then she could show him that she is worthy of him. She also learned more cooking styles and delicious dishes to impress Ash because she knew, the way to reach boy's heart is from the stomach.

Almost 2 years had passed her like this. Grace was too worried for Serena. Although Serena was now more responsible and grown up lady, but still for her eyes, Serena was a kid for her. She wanted Serena to enjoy herself and see her happy. She discussed this with P.Sycamore. P.Sycamore suggested Grace to send her on a journey. And some how Grace convinced Serena to go on a journey to Hoenn so that she could work on her skills as contests and showcase are nearly same. And Serena agrees with her, thinking that probably one day she could also find Ash somewhere. And she could also learn new things and skills, etc.

Serena travelled Hoenn with the fake name 'Leaf' to hide her true identity. By this way she also met with 'May' during one of there contests. They both introduce themselves to each other. When Serena got to know that May was on of the traveling companion of Ash then she told her the truth with her real identity and her past. May also told her past along with the betrayal incident and promised to keep Serena's identity secret during whole journey. Serena with May travelled Hoenn and collected all contest ribbons. She entered Hoenn contests and reached the finals defeating May but was defeated by Drew 'the male top co-ordinater of Hoenn' after that. Serena was asked to take the title of 'female top co-ordinater of Hoenn' which she refused as she wants to travel to improve her skills and prepare herself for the 'Princess Cup' and the title 'World Queen'. In Hoenn, Serena caught Absol, Swablu, Skitty who evolved into Delcatty and Vulpix.

After that May suggested Serena to travel in Sinnoh and challenge the Sinnoh contests. May told her to travel Sinnoh with one of her friends 'Dawn' who was also the past companion of Ash and now she is the 'female top co-ordinater of Sinnoh'. May told that Dawn also has the similar incident of betrayal and was one of the part in it. Then Serena travels Sinnoh with Dawn and collected all contests ribbon. By the time they both become best friends. She then entered the Sinnoh contest and reached finals but was defeated by Dawn in the finals. In Sinnoh, she caught Snorunt which evolved into Froslass, Swablu who evolved into Alteria, Audino, Pancham evolved into Pangoro & and Serena's Vulpix also evolved into Ninetales.

It's been 3 years for Serena since she left her house for the journey. She had improved a lot. Now, by this time Serena become more beautiful and attractive woman that can make any men fall for her. She also got many proposals but rejected all. Sometimes she gets into a battle if she rejects the proposal. Serena was still in Sinnoh when she got a call from her mother Grace telling her that P.Sycamore had enrolled her in the Kalos high school where she can learn new things and could become a knowledgeable & good citizen. And Serena agrees with it and returned to Kalos. Serena was still heartbroken that she couldn't find Ash anywhere but she was still happy that she could travel and explore the region just like Ash do. With her Pokemons by her side, she won't give up.

When Serena arrived Kalos and was on her way, she saw a trainer abandoning her Espurr. Her Espurr was crying and hugging her trainer's leg but her trainer kicked her away cause Espurr to get hurt and lose her consciousness. Serena ran up-to her and lift that Pokemon. She started shouting on that trainer for hurting and abandoning the Pokemon. But the trainer told that Espurr was not good and strong in battling so he abandoned her. Serena's blood boiled inside her. She said if he don't know how to treat Pokemon then he has no rights to call himself a Pokemon trainer. That triggered the trainer and he challenged Serena for 1v1 Pokemon battle which Serena excepted. The trainer sent out his Quilladin and Serena sent out Absol. After long and tiring battle, Serena somehow managed to win. The trainer glared at Serena then ran away from there.
