1 Year Later...

Y/N's POV:

An entire year had passed since Tokino's arrival, luckily there haven't been any signs of any yautja activity since then, as for the facility building of which I previously worked at, the building was completely destroyed, nothing but a huge charred crater was left behind, leaving many of the workers and myself to look for new jobs. As for Ms. Volkov unfortunately her deceased body was found in a motel room just 6 miles away from the city

Yes, some things have changed, however, one thing that stayed the same was that I still continued to walk to my house through the forest every day from my job, my new job now was as a security guard for a law office building, no alien technology conspiracies there.

I continued to walk through the forest in the direction of my house, the hot July air rustled through the tree branches, the roaming deer around me even seemed to be calm as they grazed on the vegetation around them. I took in a breath of relaxation "Ah, this is one of the upsides of living out here, no loud people, no smelling car fumes, no irritating neighbors, but the sound and smell of nature, and-"

I suddenly stopped myself in midsentence as I felt what I assumed to be a rock hit my back, the sound of something hitting the ground behind me startled the nearby group of deer in to fleeing the area. I turned around to look at the ground, as expected I found a rock that was not positioned on the ground before, I looked around to see if I could spot the culprit who threw the rock, until I looked up to the tree branches, only to find...Tokino without her mask!?

"What in the hell!?, Tokino!?" I yelled, Tokino jumped down to the forest floor, she landed perfectly on her feet, and stood just a few feet in front of me "Tokino!?, what are doing here now!?, I thought you left!" I yelled in confusion, Tokino pu...

"What in the hell!?, Tokino!?" I yelled, Tokino jumped down to the forest floor, she landed perfectly on her feet, and stood just a few feet in front of me "Tokino!?, what are doing here now!?, I thought you left!" I yelled in confusion, Tokino pulled out her hunting mask from behind her back, she put it on her face, the lights from the mask soon switched on, and I could hear Tokino's translated words

"Did you really think that I would forget about my mate?" Tokino asked in a teasing way "Don't start with that again, after the incident with that robotic yautja, you just left without saying anything, I need to know everything that happened after I blacked out" I said "Hm, very well, where do I begin?...after you used that destructive electrical weapon, the robot had been rendered immobilized, but still barely functioning, thanks to your interference I was able to finish it off by ripping it's head off" Tokino replied

"Interference?, more like saving your butt from dying for the SECOND TIME" I retorted "You are just lucky that your plan worked" Tokino retorted back "YOU are lucky that I decided not to ditch you back there, honestly, how did you manage to get beaten not just by a human?, but also by a walking can opener?" I retorted "Hm?, would you prefer that we switched places?" Tokino asked

"Maybe so, maybe I would've beaten that robot faster while you-" Just before I could finish my sentence, Tokino suddenly moved towards me in a single stride due to her strong long legs, she quickly wrapped her arms around me in a tight hug "It would seem that you have forgotten just how dangerous that I could be towards you" Tokino said, I turned my head to the side to talk freely "That's an odd thing to say while hugging somebody" I said, Tokino soon let go of me "As odd as having a yautja as your mate?" Tokino asked
