"thank you thank you thank youuu" mrs.lopez happily spoke hugging me

"nooo stop id do this for free i love your kids, i love kids" i smiled

she returned the smile grabbing the keys off her counter and gave a kiss to both tommy and toby

"you guys behave" she gave them a playful glare "i will be back 12am as rough as it sounds, put them in bed 9:30 and 10:00 pm LATEST incase these crazy kids decide to not obey" she tickled them and they giggled

i watched her say goodbye once more and walked out, driving off the driveway and then shes out of a view so i look back at the two boys

"remind me your guys ages"

"9" toby spoke confidently

"7" tommy rolled his eyes

"ha" toby laughed but then received a harsh smack to the face from tommy

"OKAY" that caught me off guard "okay uhm so whats your guys favourite movie ill play it while i make you guys dinner"

"we were watching minecraft videos before you came can we watch them" tommy whined

"please please please please please" toby followed begging

"alright alright go to the couch ill do that"

they cheered in sync sprinting towards the couch rambling to each other about what they have been watching and i only laughed softly

my phone rang

"he fucking knows"

"angie?" i spoke

"y/n he knows"

"who knows what"

"karl knows your not shopping with your guys moms what the fuck do i tell him?" i could hear the pure panic in her voice as she spoke

my eyes widened as i tried and think of a plan

"u-uh where are you at the moment?" i was walking anxiously up and down the kitchen floor

"your mom picked me up after they went shopping and went to karls and nicks, hes here!"

"i wait whyd you get picked up"

"i was bored"

"yea of course" i laughed

"well i mean just tell him-"

"y/n the fuck! whyd you lie to me where are you really" i heard a guys voice thru the phone

my eyes grew wide and i ended the call immediately

"fuck" i mumbled

"fuck?" a soft voice spoke out and behind me was tommy with his empty bowl in his hand sending me a confused look

"oh my god dont say that uhm are you done?" i slapped myself in the face

"yea?"

i nodded grabbing his bowl and putting it in the dish washer

she handed me a bit over 100 for it being so late and i was their for an extra 15 minutes which wasn't even a pain

"thank YOU" i looked down realizing i was finally done after almost a year of saving up for these shoes

"was it for something important" she pointed towards the bills in my hands "the money?"

i waved a goodbye towards her, walking out and heading over to my place only a few houses away

approaching my house i unlocked it and stepped in and the light were all off. i always left atleast the kitchen counter lights on so i furrowed my brows in confusion turning one on seeing karl nick and angie on the couch

"what the fuck?!" i yelled

nick and angie immediately were thrown into a fit of laughter but karl couldn't have looked more serious

"it was his plan" nick pointed towards karl

"shut the fuck up nick go upstairs with angie i wanna talk to y/n"

angie sent me a thumbs up and i smiled at her. nick and angie sprinted upstairs laughing and mumbling and karl walked over to me

"why did you lie" he asked

"i- cant tell you" i played with my fingers avoiding his eye contact

"the fuck yes you can we tell each other everything" he spoke softly

"not lately" i whispered

"what did you say" he stepped closer

i looked up stepping away and crossed my arms

"i said we havnt lately. at all! listen what i did wasn't secretive in a bad way it was for something good alright"

"ive been telling you everything!"

"oh really karl? really?" i leaned closer to him

"yes i hav-"

"no you really havnt you know. you go to taylor! yes i am fully aware that is your girlfriend karl seriously i know but sometimes im still your best friend and you used to come to me for this. you used to not ditch me! you used to spend time with me! but now you only hangout with her and frankly i dont even know if were gonna hangout tomorrow cause you say sundays is for us but its been for you and her the past few weeks"

he stayed quiet thinking, he opened his mouth to speak up but then closed it

"you were gonna cancel weren't you" i sadly laughed stepping back

"no save it i dont care. tomorrow is christmas eve im not dealing with this bullshit. we'll be together christmas day anyways so you go have fun with her its fucking fine goodnight" i walked away, up the stairs and slammed the door
