Huening Kai groaned and closed his eyes, turning to the other side avoiding the blinding light. "It hurts" He whined and attempted to shield his eyes, but then grunts when his body ached as if he ran a marathon.
"Oh you are awake!" Someone's voice hovers above him and he blinks, wincing a little. Chuckles follow the statement when he attempts to wake up, as soon as he opens his eyes, a flash of blue momentarily blinds him.
"Yeonjun?" His voice is rough and raspy, he opens his eyes to find the same man grinning at him, "You are finally awake, You have been out cold for a day" He sighs.
"Wait One day?" He exclaims and then winces when his sore throat gives attendance. "Yep, after the announcement you fainted and I freaked out. Also don't ever scare me like that again"
Kai had never seen Yeonjun looking so serious and stern. His voice left no room for arguments, Kai kinda liked it.
"Sorry, I won't" He squeaked, the glare did not subside however. "Yeonjun, I was scared that if I leave you, then I won't be able to forgive myself, because..." He tilted his head up slowly, tears blurring vision.
How will he say that Yeonjun means the world to him, the boy he always loved even when the other was oblivious to it. How will he say that just to see Yeonjun happy, he would do anything, even if he has to sacrifice himself for it.
Kai's issue is that, loves too hard and enough to never forget and last an eternity. He realized that when Yeonjun came back in his life uninvited to wreck a whole chaos.
"Because you mean a lot to me hyung" He sniffled, laughing off handedly wiping the stray tears. "Sorry, I was just thinking something, I did not want to make you uncomfortable"
He gritted out, trying to stop his tears and succeeding in it, except when Yeonjun sat beside him and cradled his face a whole dam broke out.
The elder did not utter a word, nor did he move away. If anything he scooted closer and let Kai rest his forehead on his shoulder, arms wrapping around him delicately.
"Baby, You mean a lot to me too, if anything had happened to you today then I ... I would have died" The man says with a light hiccup and Kai cries harder hugging Yeonjun back.
"I am sorry Hueningie" Yeonjun sniffles let the boy climb on his lap and hide in Yeonjun's hug, making himself smaller in the warmth and Yeonjun's heart aches, how did he even treat this boy so bad. Someone who needs to be cherished and loved, and he just threw that away.
He left someone oh so precious to suffer all alone and watched in silence, at this point did he even deserve to love? He was so cruel to the boy and he hates himself for it. "I am so sorry baby, so sorry" He cries harder holding the blonde closer until all they feel is each other's warmth.
A knock interrupted them, and Kai tried to jump away from his lap but Yeonjun held him firmly. "Hyung, the door" Kai whined quietly with flushed cheeks avoiding eye contact.
"Fine, but stay here" Yeonjun grunts and walks to open the door, there the guy who was talking with Kai the day before stood with flowers and white box in his hand.
"Oh hey! You must be Yeonjun! I am Brian, I am here to see Kai, Can I? He raps in one breath and Yeonjun is impressed by how fast the guy speaks, "Uhm yeah sure, let me just set the room real quick" He rushes out to say with a small smile.
"Kai, Brian wants to meet you" Yeonjun says to the blonde who exits the restroom.
His face is fresh, he must have washed it. He is in white shorts and a huge white shirt, three buttons unbuttoned. Yeonjun gulps, the boy looks like a pure angel and Yeonjun can't help wonder how will it feel to taint the beautiful man.
"Ok, then let him in? why did you keep him waiting outside?" Kai says in a slight exasperated tone.
Yeonjun spares one last glance and lets the boy in with a small apology and a sheepish smile, Brian only waves it away with a good natured wave.
"Kai!" The boy screams and hugs Kai hard, Yeonjun winces at his uncomfortable expression, his body still must be sore. "Hey Brian" Kai croaks out and the boy beams widely, Yeonjun is a little blinded by the grin.
"I bought Carnations for you" He gives Kai the bouquet who beams and receives them with gratitude, and the he shoves the white box in Yeonjun's unsuspecting hands.
"Here these are some macaroons. Share them later!" He winks and then settles beside Kai, blabbering away the events which took place while Kai was resting.
The blonde listens with a fond smile at the theatrics of his friend and Yeonjun fumes, he is jealous of them. Just how close did they get? Kai never looked at him that way.
He pouts lightly and busies himself with his smartphone on the couch, however one of his ear and eye always were on the two who looked awfully close together.

Huening Kai wasn't oblivious to how jealous Yeonjun was, this made him partly proud and the part confused. Does Yeonjun like him or what? Why is he acting like a baby denied of candies, the heavy pout and sulking.
"I should get going now, seems like you guys are too tired, see you tomorrow at the contest" Brian announces looking at Kai. "Oh sure" Kai gives him a smile, but he doesn't expect the fore head kiss which comes later.
"He is jealous as hell, take advantage of it and also he looks like he can gobble you any instant" Brian giggles in Kai's ear prompting him to turn a bright red.
"What" He blinks dumbly but the smaller boy only winks at him and saunters away, giving Yeonjun a polite wave and smile.
The elder returns it and then turns to Kai with a huge pout, it makes Kai want to kiss the hell out to him. "What?" he whines and Yeonjun pouts harder. "You and your friend look very comfortable, when did you guys even get that close" He asks and Kai laughs.
"Why jealous?" He wiggles his eyebrows, a finger curling at Yeonjun who as commanded climbs into the bed next to him.
"Me? absolutely not. You are the one who looked constipated, also I can never can Jealous" Yeonjun scoffs adjusting the sheets to cover him and in process pulling it away from Kai.
"I definitely saw you jealous Yeonjunnie" Kai coos, pulling the covers to himself and the blue head groans yanking the boy and sheets towards himself, their faces exactly a hair's breadth away from each other. "I can never get Jealous, because there is nothing between us." He whispers and Kai face drops at that.
"Right, sorry for that" he mumbles and turns away from Yeonjun facing the other side.
Yeonjun decides that, this is for the best. He loves the boy, but he doesn't deserve Kai. The boy deserves someone who will look after him and someone perfect not Yeonjun. Huening Kai deserves the best, something he can never be.
