Jett brought flowers and walked home. He had to show Simon he was sorry. Simon wasn't there. He waited up but there was no sign of his friend. It was Friday night and they were supposed to be on a date. Fuck.

Vin sat beside Jett on the steps outside. Jett was still holding flowers. "Dad?"

Jett nodded. He was in tears. "I just fucked up and I have no idea how to fix it. I really..."

Vin sighed. "I know. Simon has been very quiet. Where is he?"

"I have no idea. I asked him on a date but..." Jett sighed.

"When?"

"Uh, it was supposed to have started four hours ago!" Jett sighed. He turned the roses in his hand. They were yellow.

"I see. Never brought roses to Mom." Vin smiled.

"Simon means more to me than your mom." Jett sighed. "Sorry."

"I know. You never waited outside for her. Want me to wait with you?" Vin watched the cars pass.

"No. Go to bed, Vin. Thanks."

"Dad, always." He kissed his dad's cheek and walked inside.

Simon was more than a little tipsy when he walked back home from a friend's house. He was getting dating advice. Manny knew how to mix drinks. He stumbled down the sidewalk and froze. Jett was leaning on the door, sleeping. A bunch of yellow flowers were laying at his feet. Simon was in tears. If he had better control, he would have been sober and got Jett up, walked him to his room...this was not that time.

He sat beside Jett and leaned into him. He just closed his eyes.

Jett woke up to birds chirping. It was pre-dawn and his body was sore, his neck hurt. He was outside? Right he was waiting for Simon who was propped up against him. Sleeping?

"Uh, Simon?"

Simon moaned. He had a bad hangover. "What?"

"We should move!" Jett sighed. He wrapped an arm around Simon and they both sat up. "Hey, you awake?"

"No!" Simon moaned.

Carl picked this time to walk up. "Good morning, Climbers!" He smiled. "Bad time?"

Jett glared. "Yes! We had a rough night."

"I see that. Sleeping on the steps?" Carl watched them. "Oh, you two have things to work out." He smiled.

Simon moaned and put his hand on his head. "I am not climbing today." He whispered it.

Carl laughed. Loud. "I know that. Jett is taking you inside, getting you two aspirin and a bottle of water. Drink that and go to bed. Take the weekend and you two need to talk. So help me, if you don't, I will throttle you both!" Carl walked off.

Simon moaned into his hands. Jett smiled. "You heard him. Come on." He pulled Simon up. Simon wrapped around Jett.

Simon moaned. "Oh! You feel so good to hold like this!"

"Simon..."

"Get the flowers!" Simon smiled.

"Stand right there. Hold on." Jett picked up the flowers and ended up carrying Simon, who was heavy. "You are heavy as fuck!"

Simon smiled. "All muscle!"

Jett got up the stairs and down the hall to Simon's room. He laid him in bed. He pulled his shoes off. "There." He pulled the comforter up.

"Sleep with me..." Simon stopped. "I mean just lay down for a minute." He pulled Jett onto him. He pushed him off and laid on his chest. "Were you waiting for me?"

Jett sighed. "I was worried sick! We had a date scheduled. I bought you apology roses. I have no idea how to fix anything, Simon. I love you."

Simon froze. "What?"

Jett sighed. "I was going to tell you last night but... I love you. I have for a long time." Jett wiped tears. "I fucked up and now, the man I love hates me! I can't sleep, or think, or eat! I miss you. This week was awful and I can't fix the damage! Simon, what can I do?" He wiped tears.

Simon sighed. "Jett!" He looked into his eyes. "I love you and I have no idea! My head is fucking killing me!"

"Let me get you some painkillers." Jett crawled from Simon's bed and rushed to the kitchen and was back with Simon...who was asleep. Perfect. He set the pills and water on his side table. He walked to the door and stopped. He turned. There was a whole side of his bed that was empty....
