History of Man

The birds have more freedom than I

Swinging silently, beaks held high

I am a commodity

To be bought and sold

With laws

I am to be controlled

The snakes have more bite than I

Glaring quietly, fangs bared wide

I am a trophy

To be collected

With money

I am to be misdirected

The cougar have more growl than I

Watching patiently, whiskers disguised

I am a machine

To shed blood

Within marriage

You'll have a son

The fish have more joy than I

Endlessly arcing, their fins glide

I am a parallel

To feed pride

With power

You have the right side

The beetles have more meaning than I

Dancing slowly, wings in time

I am a monster

To your Eden

With your words

You make me Heathen

The creatures have more freedom than I

Tumbling joyfully, while you rot me inside

I am half

Though not whole

Swinging silently, heads held high

Until we meet birds eye to eye

Swinging silently, heads held high

Let it be freedom or let me die
