In memorial of my deceased pet snake Citrine, I will miss her.
The sound of the ding was drowned out by my huffing and puffing as I leaned against the recently closed subway doors. I had just barely escaped my house from those crazed monster girls. Ever since Minnie joined our "family" about a week ago the girls have been more, well, how do I put it, demanding. From morning to night they were quite aggressive in trying to get my attention.
Lupine was acting strangely aggressively with everything I did. Insisting that everything I did was wrong and that she should be by my side at all times to fix my mistakes. She hovered over me like a helicopter mom and even criticized me on how I slept!
Draka was over protective and refused to let me leave my home for even the smallest of things. Always stating that a sinister wind could break off a tree branch and kill me or I could choke on a piece of food at the sampler in the grocery store.
Finally Minnie, who clung to my body like she was an article of clothing. Her plush body molded to my body like memory foam. No matter where I go, from standing outside of the shower to sitting on my lap at mealtimes, she would not let me be left alone. I had to pray for her off me every night and lock my bedroom door just to sleep. And even so I could hear all three girls complaining and whining just outside of my door like cats that want to get in.
Now I was finally free as I took a nearby seat, relaxing for the first time all week. Being pulled three ways by monster girls was not as fun as it sounds.
The train rumbled on the old tracks down the dark tunnels as I looked out the black windows. I wanted to go downtown to relax and to have some breathing room as they sorted out whatever their issues were. It would be another hour of riding the train until it reached my stop. I walked out of the old subway station and walked east toward Chinatown.
Chinatown is a good place to get some cheap stuff, from food to furniture. The streets were busy as the smell of fish from the open markets filled the air. Not the most pleasant of smells but it was what made Chinatown Chinatown.
Walking through the crowded streets I was surprised as I began to notice a number of monster girls walking about, usually in linked arms with their caretaker. Not really a lot, one here and there, but a few. And Nothing like the size of Draka as most of them were mostly human size, subtract their abnormal chest sizes. I noticed a rabbit, a sheep, and a couple of rats. Despite knowing about the program there seemed to be more than I expected to see. Shrugging it off I eventually walked through the crowd to find one of my favorite restaurants, a "local" raman shop.
After an hour of a very satisfying meal, I head back into the busy streets. I wandered around looking at food markets and stores, seeing what caught my eye. It was not long after leaving the raman shop that a shady guy came slithering out of a stairwell that went below the sidewalk into a lower street shop.
"Hey, you look like someone who is looking for something exotic," the man inquired in a sleazy car salesman's voice.
I turned to the short man startled by his sudden appearance. Looking at the man I saw he was wearing black fedora hat and a long matching trench coat. He had this uneasy smile plastered on his face while staring at me with almost unblinking beady little eyes.
