CHERRY WANTED TO HELP!

That was nothing new. She always wanted to help, even if it wasn't needed.

She'd been a diety for, at most, two weeks. Those weeks had been the most stressful of her life. Fortunately for her, a distraction came in the form of a blond-haired boy.

Percy Jackson, unclaimed camper who'd managed to slay the minotaur and lose his mom all in one night. He's probably really sad, was Cherry's first thought. Who better to comfort him than her?

Not only could she help someone in the process, but she'd be able to visit her siblings.

Dionysus stood in front of the door of the big house, with his arms crossed.

To say he was fond of the new goddess would've been a complete lie. To him, she was nothing more than some stupid kid. Too bad for him, Aphrodite had insisted he let her in camp as if there was a greater purpose to the visit besides Cherry comforting him.

"You're here. And you're late." Dionysus shoved the door open behind himself.

"Oops. Sorry." Cherry's nose crinkled when she winced at the man's tone. "but I'm here now! Pretty big strawberry field."

"I'm sure it was just miserable to go through. Poor you."

"Thank you for your pity. Please cashapp me to express your sorrow."

"What is Cash App? Cash? Money? I'm not giving you money, Strawberry."

"That was a joke, sorry. Also, uh, it's Cherry, but I guess if you like strawberry better then I can't really stop you from calling-"

"-You talk a lot."

Cherry grew silent, opting to just follow the god through the cabin.

She'd never been camping before, and she couldn't say that she was going to be a big fan of it if this was what everybody at Camp Half-Blood was like.

A voice came from behind a door, "You're telling me there such a thing as a god?" and that gave away that they'd arrived in the correct location.

The goddess of human nature could practically hear the overwhelming disbelief in the boy's tone.

"Gods, and there's one looking for you." Chiron explained, and faced the now ajar door. "here's your boy, cherry."

The tension in Percy's shoulders melted when his eyes met the soft golden hazel of the red-haired girl whose head poked out to peek from behind the door.

She offered him a gentle smile that Percy hadn't even processed.

Dionysus watched as the girl pushed the door open and made her way over to the side of the bed Percy lay in, leaning over him.
