"A few months after you were born, well, he started feeling sick." Emily's mom started.
"So what?" Emily scoffed. "My father had a small cold?"
"Let me finish." She ordered sternly. "Anyways, he was showing the same symptoms as you. So I took him to the doctor in our car, long story short- he had to go to the E.R"
"What- why?-" Emily stuttered.
Her mother didn't answer for a minute or two.
"He had blood cancer. We never knew..."
"..."
"He didn't make it though." Emily's mom was tearing up.
"I- Mom, why are you telling me this-?" Emily queried
"Well, It's just I think you may have...cancer..."
