His eyes watered as he stared on at the crowd, stuck kneeling before their chants. All he'd done was tell the truth, the whole truth. He'd done nothing wrong. His love for them was endless yet their love for him was none. He just wanted peace and harmony, yet they wanted chaos and destruction. "One day" he said softly, unheard over the yells and screams. "One day you'll understand, that your actions speak louder than words, that your decisions affect reality and your children mirror your behavior" he looked down and closed his eyes. "You'll know true suffering despite my warnings"

And so his head rolled under the eyes wide of judgement and greed.
