Seungmin sighed as he placed his empty glass in the dishwasher and closed the kitchen window.
It was already dark outside since autumn had arrived but the brunette was still up, somehow worried and nervous.
It was the 4th of September, Hyunjin's due date had been the day prior but so far the older hadn't mentioned anything about having contractions yet.
Well, real contractions, not Braxton hicks contractions.
The small ugly contractions had accompanied him for two weeks already and he hated it, they were really uncomfortable.
But as long as they'd help his baby come to the world, he wouldn't complain.
Well, at least not too loud.
"Minnie~"
Hyunjin whined when his boyfriend still hadn't found the way to their bed yet, he couldn't sleep without the younger's cuddles.
Especially since his belly hurt, he just wanted tummy rubs and a soft kiss on his forehead.
"I'm on my way, just a second love~"
"Your appa is taking too long, no wonder where you got that from, huh?"
He placed his hands on his round belly, feeling the tight skin under his palms but their little boy stayed quiet.
Hyunjin knew that he'd probably come tonight, he just knew it.
Parental instinct.
He knew his son and he knew that the baby also thought that there was literally no more space for him to grow.
It wasn't just uncomfortable for Hyunjin but also for the unborn.
"I'm here love, are you tired?"
The ravenette nodded softly, a cute pout on his face when he reached his arms out for his boyfriend to come closer.
Seungmin leaned up to kiss his lover's forehead and cupped his cheek to also peck his lips softly.
"Good night pretty boy~ I love you."
And Hyunjin turned around on his side, let his boyfriend spoon him and placed his own hands over Seungmin's on his belly.
"I love you too pup~"
He sighed happily when the younger began to caress his tummy just how he liked it, a soft smile on his face when the brunette kissed his shoulder and nuzzled his face in the crook of his neck.
"Minnie?"
"Hm?"
"I think he'll come tonight, I just know it. He's also tired of being in there."
"Oh really? How come?"
"I'm not sure, he was very quiet all day and I guess it's just parental instincts."
"Let's see then, wake me up if you feel anything weird, okay? And you baby, see you later, hm?"
With a last kiss on Hyunjin's cheek Seungmin turned off the light and pulled the duvet up.
Hyunjin wouldn't be right that night, their stubborn little boy had wanted to stay for another two days so it was around 11pm on the 6st of September when he finally went into labor.
And it was safe to say that Seungmin was amazing.
As well as Hyunjin.
They didn't rush to the hospital in complete panic, they slept until 6am with Hyunjin having contractions from time to time and Seungmin cuddling him and distracting him with kisses.
Yes, he was uncomfortable but the younger always made sure to help his boyfriend through every contraction, he didn't complain when he was woken up every 30 minutes.
They stayed calm when Hyunjin's water finally broke at 6am and Seungmin sang 3108 by Ha Hyunsang to him as they drove to the hospital.
It didn't feel like they were actually having a baby right now.
The whole atmosphere was just too calm but that was okay.
There wasn't any better way for a child to be born.
