I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says, "Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again."

~Lewis Carroll, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland / Through the Looking-Glass

The first fall of the snowflake landed softly at his hair as he chuckled at the sight of him dumbfounded. He immediately raised the device he is holding in his hands, capturing the moment with a shutter. Khun just became red at the sudden motion.

"I will jail you for taking a photo without my permission!" Bam just chuckled at the warning, flicking his wrist back and forth making the polaroid in his hands finish its job, creating a picture of the bluenette earlier. Bam discreetly put the Polaroid in one of his pockets and smiled childishly.

"I'm already jailed in your heart Khun-san." Bam stated, sending a wink making the latter speechless. Khun agaped at the confidence the brunette had, turning away from him as he started to walk away and Bam saw his reddened ears.

Bam soon followed suit, hanging the camera in his neck as he held Khun's cold hands in his before putting it both in his own pocket. Bam hadn't missed the sight of Khun's contented smile as he started to point at the interesting things he sees just like a child.

Khun stared at a certain direction and of course Bam noticed it, following where his gaze is at. Soon learning that the bluenette is looking at the skating rink, Bam pecked his forehead with a kiss and wore a gentle smile.

"Should we go there?" Bam asked fondly at him but the latter shook his head.

"Let's go tomorrow. I'm tired." Khun said and pulled his lover away from the lively rink.

They both settled at a cozy café, sipping their own drinks while talking comfortably.

"I still can't believe you don't drink coffee."

"Hey don't judge me. I hate bitter things. At least I don't ask the barista for extra espresso shots." Bam made a disgusted face making Khun chuckle.

"You know what they say, more espresso less depresso. And I take that personally." Bam just scrunched his nose at Khun's 'inspirational' quote.

"Do I have to be bitter for you to like me?"

"Okay first of all, I already like you. And secondly, says the one who can't drink bitter drinks and is now chugging warm milk in a café."

Bam just grimaced while Khun snickered in his victory.

The pair again walked side by side, taking in the beautiful sights. Bam puffed out a smoke due to the coldness that Khun had mistaken it for someone who is smoking near them.

Khun pulled Bam towards the vendor who sells lanterns. The two decided to buy one to write their wishes on it. Soon after, they released it to the shy together with many other lanterns other people had released.

Both of them looked at the sky filled with floating lights, making them blend in the starry night sky.

"What did you wish for Khun-san?"

"If I tell you it won't come true."

"I want the guy I love right now, the one beside me, be happy."

"Is that so? Okay then."

"How about you? What did you wish for?" Bam blinked for a second before confusion was written all over his place.

"I thought it won't come true if you tell anyone?"

"Ah you got me. I thought you would slip your wish." Bam showed Khun his jokingly betrayed face as the latter just laughed at his own antics before looking at the sky again.

The brunette immediately readied his camera before clicking it many times before printing the right polaroid out. Bam was quite proud of his piece as Khun just shook his head at him.

In the polaroid, there was Khun who was looking at the sky and looked ethereal at the same time as the glow of the lanterns mirrored at his face. There were also lanterns displayed at the picture.

Bam held Khun's hand again. The bluenette thought he would pocket it again but Bam proved him wrong. Bringing his hand near to his lips, before kissing his knuckles gently as they looked at each other fondly.

"I wish, this moment, would never be our last."
