Mashiho's pov

"Aishh why did I ask him to be my friend?" I asked my self frustratingly grabbing my hair

I walked down the stairs and saw a figure that looked familiar there so I got closer

"Doyoungie?"
I called and he turned

"Mashiho?! What are you doing here?!" he asked holding my shoulder

"What are YOU doing here?" I asked back

"Mashiho you have to leave now, I know you got here mistakenly, go now before Junkyu hyung sees  you" he said and started dragging me to the door

"Dobby? What are you leaving? And why are you taking Junnie's guest with you?" A woman said
making Doyoung stop and turn back

"You mean Junkyu hyung brought him here?" Doyoung asked with his eyes widened

"Mhm, they've been upstairs" The woman said

"You know that meanie?" I asked him and he turned to me

"Of course, I'm his brother" Doyoung said

"What?!!"

"We're brothers Mashiho" he said shaking my shoulders

"Who are you to him?" Doyoung asked and got closer smirking like he was interrogating me

"I...um...we're rivals, I hate that meanie so much"

"Uh-huh? Then what would you be doing in your rivals home?" He asked with a mocking smile

"It was raining before I got here, he brought me here and let me stay till the rain stopped"

"Hyung never lets anyone in here, he doesn't even let me in his house...but he let you in here...even to his room...is there anything going on that I don't know?"

"I don't like him and there's nothing going on!"

"I never said you liked him" Doyoung mockingly said

"But I'll take your word for it, at least we're closer now you know my brother" Doyoung said and crossed his arm over my shoulder

"I was actually going to annoy him now but fuck that, let's go out" Doyoung said and grabbed his key

"What?"

"You really ordered Mint-cho right under my salad" Doyoung said

"What's wrong with that?"

"You're literally eating toothpaste" he said with his face grimaced, I was gonna reply when I saw Haruto-san walk in

"Hm? Ruto hyung?" I heard Doyoung mutter

"Hyung! Over here!" Doyoung shouted and got Haruto's attention, luckily the ice cream parlour was empty because who would eat ice cream right after it rained...well I guess us

Haruto-san smiled looking at Doyoung but then stopped walking and looked to my direction

Doyoung turned to his gaze and looked at me

"Ah this is my friend Mashiho–

"I know him, we're friends...well that's what I thought, I don't know about him" Haruto-san said, his usual contagious smile was no longer there instead it was replaced with a frown and his aura was just scary

"I actually came to get ice cream for i and Jihoon but right now I don't feel like it anymore" he said looking at Doyoung

"I'll drop by tomorrow" he told Doyoung and walked out of the parlour

Haruto-san was right...I really haven't been seeing him as a friend, a friend should act like one...but I didn't, instead I avoided him for so long afraid of what people will say

He was the one that always saved me from those bullies when I needed help but I didn't return the care he needed, I need to fix things

"You know Haru–

I didn't wait for Doyoung to finish, I just ran out of the ice cream parlour, I saw Haruto-san about to get into his car

"Haruto-san!" I shouted and he halted his actions

I ran to him and hugged him tight

"I'm sorry" I muttered against his chest

"I'm sorry I didn't talk to you over some days"

"Why didn't you?" He asked, I didn't tell want to tell him that I avoided him because people told me to

"Did those boys threaten you not to talk to me?"

"Not them but something like that" I muttered still against his chest

He leaned out and held my cheeks up making me look up at him

"And you listened to them?" He asked softly
I averted my gaze hearing his words

"You should have told me Mashi, I would have dealt with them" he said 'Only if you knew your best friend was one of them'

"I didn't think about that" I muttered

"It's okay...just don't ignore me, you don't know how lonely I was" he said and hugged me

"I won't" I muttered

No one's pov

Jeongwoo from a distance watched Haruto and Mashiho hug, he knew something was wrong between them, seeing them come back together made him happy, I mean who wouldn't be happy to see their close friend and crush get along

Jeongwoo seemed to develop a likening towards Haruto despite knowing he was a playboy

When Mashiho stopped hanging out with Haruto, Haruto seemed to vibe with Jeongwoo, Haruto liked how Jeongwoo acted around him, he would be lying if he said he didn't like how Jeongwoo's cheeks would turn red each time he touches them

They got pretty close, Jeongwoo and Haruto got a lot comfortable around each other

Jeongwoo was smiling watching them hug until his smile faded when he heard something he shouldn't have heard

"It's okay...just don't ignore me, you don't know how lonely I was" Haruto said

Jeongwoo's eyes began to get watery

How lonely he was?

even after time they spent together, he was still lonely?

For Haruto to say that, that means everything between him and Haruto was a complete waste
