*Billie's POV*

We have one day until the Met gala this is the last dress fitting. My girlfriend Y/N has been at every fitting up until this point because she said she wanted to see my creative fashion process. Her nerdy self gets almost as excited as me when I do events like this she loves the behind the scenes of my creative process. Her words not mine.

She couldn't be at this last fitting because she had a meeting to go to regarding her work. Everything was going great until I saw myself in that dress. The dress was beautiful but there was something wrong. It wasn't the corset, I wasn't in pain, it just felt wrong. I was uncomfortable.

Maybe it's because Y/N isn't here I don't know but I want out of this dress.. The Executive and Co executive of the Oscar De Larenta team were talking to my designer about something. I don't want to make a scene but I need out of this.

"Hey um I know we aren't far into the fitting but I need a minute can someone help me out of this?" I asked. "Yeah just a second Billie." They said as I nodded and waited for someone to come help me out of this.

Moments later 5 or 6 people began helping me out of the dress and my mom handed me my robe. "I don't know where my phone is can someone call Y/N please I need to talk to her." I said as I put on my robe. "Yeah no problem." Someone said.

"She said she'll be here in 20 minutes." They said. "What about her meeting?" I asked they repeated the question to her and responded, "Don't worry about that you're more important I'll be there in 20 minutes." I responded with a sigh as they told me she ended the call after that.

"Can we look at jewelry or something? I want to be productive I just need a break from that dress for right now.." I said taking a big breath. "Yeah we can look at jewelry options and the other two looks." My designer said as I nodded.

*Y/N's POV*

I ended my meeting early and said we could continue at a different time. I'm the owner of the company so it's not like they can argue with me. Billie called me in the middle of my meeting and said she needed me so here I am.

I'm about to walk in the room all the fittings were held in. I walked in to see Billie looking at the jewelry. "Hey B what's up?" I asked walking up behind her and wrapping my arms around her waist leaving a kiss on the crown of her head.

"Hey baby can we go into the other room for a second I want to talk to you about the dress." She said kind of quietly as she turned around and took one of my hands in hers. "Of course love." I said as we walked into the other room.

"So everything's been great so far until I saw myself in the dress, with the jewelry, and the train, and everything.. I don't like the way I look in it. It feels wrong. I liked the way I looked in the dress before why don't I like it now?" She asked as I could see the tears and confusion building up in her eyes.

"Oh darling I assure you, you look like a princess in that dress! I saw your eyes light up when you first picked it out. I think it's just nervousness you're going to look so amazing don't doubt it! you're so beautiful" I said before kissing her.

"Thank you Y/N I don't know what I would do without you." She said with a smile before kissing me and going back out to put on the dress again for the last and final fitting before the Met Gala.
