- CHAPTER SEVEN -
"So you took him back? Just like that?" Dannon questioned in a scolding tone.
"Yes," I sighed, leaning over on my counter.
"Come on Riley, the guys a jerk," she shot.
"No he's not," I mumbled.
I was a little hurt at what she said.
I thought nothing but highly of Harry.
"Anyway, I'm coming over," she muttered, getting off track.
"Okay," I replied with a deep breath.
"Bye," she breathed before hanging up.
I placed my hands upon my face as I let out a shrill.
I thought I had it all figured out, but I guess I didn't.
I trusted Harry, but I trusted Dannon too.
The only question was who did I trust more?
What if Dannons right, and Harry is up to no good?
What if the saying "once a cheater, always a cheater" is true?
What if Dannon is just trying to protect me, and Harry is genuine?
I wish none of this would have ever happened.
I wish Harry could have just stayed loyal to me in the first place.
Maybe he didn't think, or maybe he did.
Maybe he thought he could get away with completely betraying me.
I stopped my thoughts before I got carried away.
I closed my eyes tight and imagined a slate, a clean slate.
That's what I wanted.
I wanted to start fresh, on a clean slate.

I opened the door to see Dannon standing in my hallway.
Her long dirty blonde hair laid straight on her shoulders, as her beautiful cat eyes squinted with a smile.
"Hey Riley," she said while pulling me into a hug.
"Hey," I mumbled, forcing a smile.
She walked into my house and leaned on my kitchen counter.
She glanced over to my couch, where a few of Harry's tshirts laid.
"So he's sleeping over already?" She scoffed.
"Just a couple nights... It was raining pretty bad," I replied, trying to defend myself.
"How convenient," she mumbled, rolling her eyes.
"Come on Dannon. He's not that bad," I implied, opening my refrigerator.
"Not that bad, but he's horrible. I just can't believe you would take him back after what he did to you," she replied angrily.
"Okay Dannon that's enough. We're together now, and that's final," I said sternly.
"Let's change the subject," she quickly stated.
"You wanna have a girls night or something?" She continued, unraveling the wrapper of a piece of chocolate that sat on my counter top.
"Yeah sure," I said, walking over into my living room.
I couldn't help but feel empty without having Harry with me.
After being alone for two years I couldn't bare being without him for even two days.
I stared longingly at his pile of clothes and couldn't help but feel angry.
What if Dannon is right?
Was if he is going to hurt me?
