Frenemy Of My Enemy.

Skye and Lincoln sitting at a table together playing a game whilst Taylor's laid on the bed going through her other phone.

"Sorry, I wish I didn't have to, but..." Lin moves a chip on the board, but Skye doesn't notice as she's lost in space looking out the window. Lincoln follows her line of sight, sees nothing there, then clears his throat to get her attention. Skye takes in a quick breath coming back to the present.

"Is it my go?" Skye asks.

"Skye, even I can tell you're about a million miles away." Taylor tells her, not looking away from her phone. Skye sighs looking apologetic.

"I'm sorry. I'm back at dinner." Skye confesses.

"Dinner with my parents can stress me out, too." Lin tells her, Taylor scoffs and sits up.

"I'm so glad I don't have that problem. But I do agree with Lin on this one." Taylor says. Skye leans back into her chair sighing again.

"It wasn't stressful, exactly. I mean I didn't want to see Cal let alone be in the same room as him. I was sure he was going to have some twisted surprise, but he didn't. It was...nice." Skye said, uncertain.

"That's good." Lin chuckles a bit when he sees her expression. "Isn't it?"

"Did Jiaying tell you that she's sending Cal away? He's not coming back." Skye states. Taylor and Lincoln sort of nod their heads.

"He doesn't exactly belong here." Lin confesses. She looks away from him and he once again notices her expression.

"You think it's a bad idea." Taylor concludes.

"It's not a good one. He'll get upset and someone will get hurt." Skye tells them.

"Talk to her. She's your mom." Lin reminds. They both chuckle a bit as she nods her head and sits up straighter.

"It's nice having someone normal to talk to." Skye tells him. Taylor pipes up at this.

"Excuse me." She pretends to be offended.

"Someone different I mean. You're still amazing Taylor." Skye assures. They all laugh, and Lin uses his powers to move one of the pieces.

"You hit me." Skye says playfully. Taylor remembers that she has to call Ward to apologise so excuses herself to her own room. Once there she locks the door and dials his number. She hears it ring, then someone answers it. She smiles, happy that he answered. Just as she was about to apologise, she heard a voice come through the phone she wasn't expecting.

"Who is this?" He asked. Taylor held her breath but knew she'd have to tell him the truth eventually.

"Coulson?"

"Taylor? What are you doing calling Ward? How do you know his number?" Coulson asked all of the questions possible at that time.

"What are you doing with Ward? Arresting him? Send him to his childhood torture? Oh, wait, you've already done that." Taylor asked. Coulson scoffed.

"Not that again. He's alive, isn't he?" Coulson commented.

"Yeah, thanks to me." Taylor spat. "Anyway, I called to apologise to him. So, if you could pass me over, I would be very grateful." Coulson groaned a little, Taylor smiled to herself. She heard movement and kerfuffle.

"Right, thank you." She heard Ward say. "You wanted to speak to me?"

"Yeah, I just wanted to apologise for my rant. I guess..." She takes a deep breath, preparing herself for a sentence she never thought she'd say, nor did she want to repeat it. "...I guess I was just jealous. I told you to move on and you did. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm sorry."

"Finally." Is all he replied. Taylor groaned, fed up with him.

"God, a thank you would've been nice. I'm actually being genuine and all you say is 'finally'. I don't even know why I bothered." She ranted.
