They look upon as if I am a stranger
A stranger...Yet they know I watch from afar
And yet, I mean them no harm.
But it pains me as I watch with envy
I am nothing but a stranger, Hiding in the shadows
They notice my lingering presence, yet they say nothing to me
Not a single word or a single glance
No words, no looks, not even a nod
I am stranger to them, yet they know I am here
Everyday it pains me to see them pass, as they pass
As the days go on, still I linger with envy
Yet my fear gets the best of me shall I try to communicate
I am nothing but a stranger, Hiding in the shadows
They notice my lingering presence, yet they say nothing to me
Not a single word or a single glance
Yet lately my fear is leaving me...
I no longer wish to be a stranger
