Gally's Point Of View:
"Thank you." It was barely over a mumble. Y/n entangled her arms around my middle, pressing her face into my shirt. I was stuck there, frozen. Forgetting how to hug.
My own arms remembered they weren't just useless limbs and settled around the nape of her neck. This was mine, she was mine. It was fine. I nudged her closer, some dumb part of me not wanting to let her go.
"I better get him to the medjacks." They pulled away, ending my stupid wish. I let them go, even in my ache from them separating. "He could have a pretty nasty concussion."
"Yeah." They waited for the crowd around this Thomas guy to loosen up. "You're probably right." Not really. He barely hit his head. He was just being a baby about it, probably to get me in trouble with y/n. Still, I should make peace for y/n. That would probably smooth things over. "Good job..." Extending an arm out for a sort of truce. He took it. "Thomas."
SCREECH
It came from the maze, as usual. The grievers were extra loud tonight. I could tell from the new shank's ugly face he'd never heard it before. It was y/n who broke the ominous silence.
"Damn they're really going at it tonight." They cupped their hands, shouting at the thick maze walls. "Ay keep it wrapped up!" Everyone exploded in laughter. Everyone charmed by y/n's painfully perfect timing. Except for the greenie.
"What the hell was that?" Thomas scratched out.
"That my friend." I decided to take to responding. "Was a griever. Don't worry, you're safe here with us. Nothing gets through those walls."
"Nothing gets out either." Y/n piped up, staring at the tall infrastructures like the hot sun. Hand shielding their face from their forehead. "You're stuck here with us." Flashing one of their brilliant smiles at Thomas.
He couldn't appreciate the full smile. How her cheeks crowned it. How her sarcasm made my own lips curl up. Her's looking even more appetizing.
"Alright everyone. Get your shanky butts into bed. Alby's orders." Our leader gruffed, going off to his hammock. I got to sleep with y/n. No one else did. That was good right?
The other guys all headed for the hammocks or for sleeping bags, very few went for the homestead. They only had so many rooms. Y/n and Thomas followed towards the homestead. That dude was totally faking the way he was walking. Acting all injured, it was just kind of pathetic.

"You really knocked some sense into him Gal but by some God send he isn't concussed."
"Really? That's good." Y/n crawled onto our bed, slipping under the sheets. Finally she was back, took her long enough. Now it was time to finish what we started at the bonfire. Tonight was going to be the night. Then I wouldn't have to worry about her being mine.
"Yeah, he's in bed now. Next to Chuck so I know he'll be fine-" I cut her off with a kiss.
Here we go Gally, now or never. I came closer to y/n, an arm on each side to prop myself up. Continuing, I followed the trail to her jaw to neck...always going back to her lips before going a little further. "Gally what are you doing?" She was muffled from the constant kisses."This." I grinned as I kept going, pulling off my shirt. This was going to be great. With y/n it was impossible for anything to be less than perfect. Back I went to the crevice of their neck, kissing before groaning in their ear. "This is gonna be so good."
"What is?" Their voice raised. That's weird. It made me pause, pulling back a little. Why weren't they taking off their clothes?
"You want me to take that off for you?" I asked, smirking. Playing with ends of y/n's nightgown material. Her eyes widening at my words.
