Your POV
The kids watched on eagerly as you told them stories of dramatic battles and magnificent creatures, all animated by small illusions you play out in front of the children, courtesy of Loki.
When you were 10, Loki had use his powers to control your mind to get to your dad (Tony Stark) and the Avengers. Although this plan was only mildly successful, when you were able to escape from his control apart of his powers were left behind. As you grew up these powers adapted to you, changing from Loki's signature powers to the ability to absorb and mimic powers from others. Some you could absorb enough that they became a permanent asset, like the ability of speed you absorbed from Pietro when you helped the team fight him and Wanda. Others you could only hold for limited times after exposure, for example when an accidental mishap with Thor during a battle allowed you to summon and control lightning for a day before it disappeared. Because of these powers you were a huge asset to the team and considered the most powerful, even though it was never said out loud. Your dad would bring you to some missions where they needed the help, but still left you out of others to pretect you and allow you to be your teenage self.
After your dad recruited Peter in the internship you spent most of your nights patrolling with him, being his partner in crime and helping him with the ropes and you grew close to the point of catching feelings. Peter had even planned to ask you out the night that the accident had happened. Your quiet night had been interrupted by the bank robbery being committed with some amateurs with strange new tech. Before you had had a chance to react or use any of your powers you had been caught in a blue ray from behind, which pulled you into the air and sent an excruciating pain through you, like your body was pulling everything inside and then everything went black. When you had woken up, you found yourself in a strange village, where you still reside today, recovering from your exposure to the weapon.
As you were finally starting to improve, half of the village turned to dust, you were the last to go. It had been about 20 minutes since everyone had returned. You had said hi to the healers and those you had grown connections with, but had ultimately left them to reconnect and catch up with their family members. Instead you were using your magic to entertain the kids that had been dusted, and returned with their parents gone, having not survived the last 5 years.

You smiled at their laughter and wonder. Your storytelling was cut short when a healer urgently called you and practically dragged you to Sygn. Sygn was the only other magic being in the village. She helped the healers with medicine and remedies but could also read prophecies, cast spells and create windows to other places when she had charged enough power. She would sometimes save enough to allow you to catch short glimpses of your father and your family, the Avengers.
The healer left you with Sygn who was pouring over books. You clear your throat to catch her attention and she turns to you.
"Something about how all the dusted were brought back had a large power behind it which charged mine. I went searching for where it came from and discovered that the avengers bought everyone back and are close to losing their final battle to Thanos, the Titan who caused this in the first place.
What I'm trying to get to is that I have more power than I ever have before and combined, we may finally be able to get you back to where you belong and you can help them defeat Thanos. They need you."
"ReAlly? We-we can do this?!"
She gives you a nod and a smile that matches your own.
"But we have to do it quickly, I don't think they can hang on any longer."
You take a deep breathe and use your magic to change into more battle ready attire before you give her a nod, signifying that you were ready.
She creates a ball of white in her hands. You focus your magic on it, and watch as the green circles into it, strengthening it and causeing it to spin. As it starts to grow she propels it towards the wall where a portal opens up, a warped image of a raging battle coming into view. You glance back at her and give her a grateful smile, before you finally step through the portal.
