Some of the Troops went to Didiane restaurant.I sat with Tom,we talked a little about the book but not much.That day September 16th of 1944 it was when I saw her.She was the busgirl she cleans the tables.She came to our table to take our drinks.I wasn't looking directly at her, but looked up and saw her,that French girl,with blonde hair,red lips,and amazing brown eyes.We made eye contact,we stare fow few seconds .She stopped and took the cups and whisper:
- Il est beau.(He is beautifull).
I said to Tom:
-Tom what did she said?!?
Tom laughing a little bit said:
-I think she said that she loves you.
I didn't belive him ,but I kept noticing that she was looking at me.Tom notice it to and said:
-John Parker talked to her.
-Haha dont worrie Tom.
-Jonh if you dont do it ,I will.
I told John to write in a paper to asked her out but in French ,because he knew a little of French and I didn't knew nothing about Frech .That note said:
""Ce serait un honneur que vous êtes allé sur une date avec moi Bonsoir restaurant" (It would be an honor if you would come with me on a date on Bonsoir restaurant).
She said
-Oui
The only word that I knew on French that it meant yes. We smiled and looked deep in our eyes knowing that she was the one.
