His temper had gotten the better of him. Again.
He'd started an argument with you over something so small, so irrelevant. It ended up leaving you both in tears, the slam of the bedroom door ringing in his ears hours later.
Dick Grayson had a temper, he knew that. As much as he tried to control it, his feelings would come out in bursts. He didn't remember what the argument was about but the guilt weighed heavily on his shoulders. Sighing, he got up from the couch before making his way to your shared bedroom.
He knocked gently before entering, heart sinking in his chest at the sight of you curled up beneath the blankets. He slowly pulled the covers down, sliding onto his side of the bed before curling his arms around you.
"I'm sorry. I never should have said those things to you."
You stayed silent, trying not cave into your feelings of wanting to hold him. Temper or not, you loved the man.
"Please, say something? Even if it's to yell at me to get out. I just wanna hear you, love."
"You really hurt my feelings, you know."
He pressed a kiss to your forehead, "I know, and I'm so sorry. I don't even remember what the stupid fight was about. I'd take back all those things I said if I could. Please, let me make it up to you? I'll do whatever you want."
You finally turned over, slightly frowning at the un-shed tears in his eyes.
"I just want you to talk to me, Dick. I hate seeing you so stressed out."
He gently took your hand, "I'll do better, I promise. Think you can forgive me?"
You nodded before pressing your lips to his, "We both know I can't stay mad at you. Even if you were a dick."
Dick just laughed, nodding in agreement, the fight long forgotten as he gave you an insight as to what was going on with him.
