In Gotham, normal doesn't last long.
Avery Vale is used to balancing school, coffee shop shifts, a younger brother who pretends not to care, and a father who's always working too late. Most days, pretending she has her life together is enough.
Then Gotham starts getting involved.
A late night on a rooftop puts her face-to-face with Nightwing. Tim Drake becomes harder to ignore inside classrooms and outside them. Jason Todd becomes an ongoing argument she somehow can't avoid. One by one, the Wayne family begins crossing into her life in ways that don't make sense.
But when small inconsistencies start appearing in the story she's believed her entire life about her mother's death, Avery begins asking questions she was never supposed to ask.
Questions that lead toward Gotham secrets, buried lies, and connections far closer to the Wayne family than she realizes.
Caught between masked vigilantes, family truths, and feelings she absolutely did not plan for, Avery has to decide who she can trust in a city built on hidden identities.
Because in Gotham, the truth rarely comes without consequences.
