3rd Pov
We open to see a man wearing a long robe with feathers along his shoulders, a hood over his head with a beak-like design, and a mask over his face only revealing his eyes and some wrinkles showing his old age. He is holding a rifle with a scope on it as he slowly limps forward with his other hand covering his side. He grunts in pain as he trips over some rubble of the destroyed village he was in.
???: Sagira, she's almost here, I can feel it.
A small drone-like robot with the design of a cartoon sun appears next to the man, and it speaks to him in a female voice.
Sagira: You were lucky that you managed to use the Sundial to escape, but yes, I can feel her darkness closing in now.
???: I can't let her have you, you must choose a new guardian.
Sagira: WHAT?! You really expect me to leave you when you are most vulnerable, I let that happen once, and I won't let it happen again.
???: You must, you're too valuable for her to get her hands on, we must hurry and find a new guardian for you.
With that, the man began sifting through the rubble, looking for a corpse to give his ghost to. Sagira reluctantly begins to scan the rubble looking as well. After a while of finding nothing, the man gave a gasp of surprise and sadness. The ghost flew back over to him.
Sagira: What did you find?
The man turns around to show Sagira the corpse of an infant, with large slash-marks over its chest. Sagira let out her own gasp.
Sagira: Poor thing, what could have done this to it?
???: I don't know, does it have the potential to wield the light?
Sagira began to scan the child and gave a response.
Sagira: Yes, he has much potential.
???: He?
Sagira: Yes, he, the scan gave me everything I need to know, he was only 2 days old when he was killed, not even a name.
???: Then we have our light-bearer, resurrect him.
Sagira: Are you sure about this, once I do this, you will lose your connection to the Light.
???: I'm sure, he deserves a second chance more than I deserve the light.
Sagira gave a small nod as she began to glow a bright color and the light emitted traveled to the child, when the light died down, their wounds were healed and he was breathing.
Sagira: There, he is now a guardian, he will age normally until he chooses to stop.
???: Good, now we must get him to safety.
The ghost disappeared and the man began to run with the child in his arms. After what felt like hours of running, he came across a town and laid his eyes on an orphanage.
???: Perfect, he can live a normal life.
The man gently placed the sleeping infant on the doorstep just as Sagira appeared again.
Sagira: You have your successor, but I will always remember you, and I will tell him about our adventures.
???: Thank you, you will always be my closest friend Sagira.
Sagira: And you will always be mine, Osiris.
Sagira disappeared as Osiris knocked on the door and ran off into the night, with a mysterious, powerful enemy chasing him. A caretaker had heard the knock and opened the door and saw the child sleeping on the step she gasped and brought him into the building. The first thing she did was check him for injuries.
