Nina's head swirled with thought much like the autumn air swirled around her. Nina felt a shiver go down her back, causing her to pull her jacket around her body tighter while she made her walk to the nearest OBGYN.

That was the thing about living in New York, Nina practically walked everywhere, and when it was too far to walk, she either biked it or coughed up the two dollars and seventy-five cents that it cost to ride the subway.

She was never concerned about whether she would be mugged or shot or anything, it was simply a fear one had to get over living in New York, no, Nina was nervous about the cost of transportation that she would soon have to rely on when it would be harder to walk due to her growing belly and aching feet. She was thankful for her able body, but had to remind herself that soon it would become just another reason to hate Ricky Bowen.

Nina had been doing a lot of thinking over the past couple of weeks, and she took what Gina had said to heart, for after all the curly headed girl was right, Nina should be pissed at Ricky. He used his charm and his stats to seduce her, only to leave her heartbroken.

Nina didn't know why she was so obsessed with Ricky abandoning her like he did. She completely expected him to do it, so she couldn't comprehend why it hurt so much. Ricky had probably bedded over one-hundred women over the course of his tour, so why was Nina any different to him? Because he promised to call? Promised she was different? Bullshit, he probably said the same thing to all the other women, tossing their numbers in the shallow hotel trashcan the second they left the room.
