Walter was released from the hospital three days after AJ died.
He couldn't apologize for what he had done to her that he regretted. He had told Delilah that he wished that he could thank AJ for saving his life three years ago.
He was going to speak at the funeral.

Seeing Walter upset was something that Paige disliked seeing her husband.
"Walter?" She said walking into their room. "Hmm?" Walter grunted.
"Are you okay?" She asked.
"That could have been me." He said.
Paige sat next to him. "Why did she die Paige?" He asked.
First his sister than his friend.
"I don't know Walter, I don't." She responded.
She kissed him. Walter pulled her into his crushing grip and didn't let go.
