It feels so good to publish after so long, but I'm finally here!

Happy Reading!

He smiles

when he looks at us

but that smile is a simple

curve of his lips

that's hiding the pain

brewing him apart,

the anxiety that is

cramming his mind

and fatigue,

tearing the muscles of his heart

His exhausted smile

holds true meaning to us

piling the happy moments to give

but drowning himself

in that immense ocean,

without any sight

of land afar

A mask hides the distress in his eyes

but each time I look at him

I see through the disguise

he struggles to keep intact

And yet he doesn't realize

that I'm his daughter,

and a piece of his soul

is attached to mine

I'm hurt when he's in pain

I'm worried when he can't sleep

I can't bear to see

this sight of him
