Six years later...

"Daddy!" four-year-old Jackson ran to the door of the penthouse as soon as he heard it open,

"Hey Jack" Calum dropped down, bringing his son into a hug just as his wife came around the corner,

"Hi babe" he grinned up at her,

"Hey Cal" Dakota laughed, watching her two favorite guys hug,

"Daddy! Guess what I did at preschool?" Jackson jumped back, letting his father stand up and toss his gym bag to the side, then giving his son all the attention even though he was tired from his day of training,

"What did you do?" Calum asked him,

"Hold on" the boy spoke and ran in the opposite direction. Calum couldn't help but laugh then give his wife a kiss. At that moment he was happy. He was happy to be home with his little family far away from those who would hate it,

"Look! I drawed me and you and Mommy" Jackson handed Calum the crumply piece of paper,

"This is so good buddy! Should we put it on the fridge?"

Jackson furiously nodded and Calum lifted the boy, carrying him to the refrigerator as Dakota followed.

Dakota was happy as well with her family. She loved seeing how good of a father Calum was to Jackson. She found herself sometimes wishing she had a relationship with her father, but she knows the separation from her parents is what's the best. She was happy to be with Calum and her son in their New York penthouse.

Calum was overjoyed and kind of shocked with how his life turned out. He never thought that at twenty-seven he'd be married with a child and fighting in a pro, illegal, boxing league. He was glad both he and Dakota were able to get away from their past lives and live the one they wanted to.

Calum hugged his wife after Jackson had put his drawing on the refrigerator and ran off,

"I love this" he whispered, "If we would have never gotten away from the toxic LA town of horrible families and people, we'd never be this happy"

Dakota grinned and looked up at her husband,

"I'm happy we did too. We would have never been living this happy life with our son. Drew and my parents would be up our asses" she smiled, "I glad you got me away and together WE got away"
