y/n pov:

that was close. i barely survived the sugar honeycomb game, making it in the last seconds. we're now in the main room, together, well at least the people who survived are. i'm actually quite excited for the next game. my adrenaline is high, my heart is pumping. i'm ready. we get our last meal of the day, and i try to see if there's anyone i can eat with. i see a young man, attractive, over by some people. i walk up to them, nervous but confident. "uh, hey, can i sit with you guys?", i ask. "yea of course!", a dark haired male says. i smile and sit down. we have a nice conversation about what we would do with the money. i say how both my parents are deceased and i can't pay off their debt that they left with me. i also talk about how they didn't pay any of the bills when they died so i have to pay those off too with the money i don't have. i feel a hand rub my back. "ssh.. it's okay. you've got us.", the man from earlier says. am i crying? fuck. "thank you. i appreciate it.", i respond with a smile, wiping my tears that i didn't even know were there. we continue to talk until lights out. i feel a tap on my shoulder. "huh?", i say. i turn around and it's the dark haired man. "hey, i'm gi-hun by the way. i just want you to know," he grabs my hand gently, "that if you ever need someone to talk to, i got you." i blush and immediately hug him. he seems caught off guard but returns the hug. "thank you so much. i'm y/n." i let go of him. "well, goodnight gi-hun.", i say and walk to my bed. i reminisce on what happened earlier. he's really everything you'd want in a person. do i like him?

gi- hun's pov:

that y/n is quite something. she's amazing in every way, i can't get my mind off her. she doesn't seem to recognize my feelings. i'll let her know, hinting that i like her, of course.

time skip

y/n isn't awake yet. that's weird, since everyone else is. i walk over to her bed, quietly as possible. i see her figure crunched up in her bed, sleeping peacefully. thank god she's still sleeping, and not killed. if she was, i wouldn't know what i would do. "y/n, darling, you have to get u-" i was interrupted by y/n grabbing my neck and pulling me in bed with her. "nooo..", she says. i like cuddling with her, yea, but she'll see me red as a tomato if i keep laying with her. "you're warm.", she says, eyes closed, her face now in my neck. "who are u and why are you waking me uppp", she says, tired. "it's gi-hun. everyone else is up." i feel her stiffen up. she immediately gets up and looks at me, both of us red. "uh- yea i was just about to get up.", she says, walking down the stairs to the middle of the main room.

y/n pov:
OH MY GOSH, i was just cuddling gi-hun. what was i thinking?? now he definitely knows i like him. i know he doesn't like me back. i try to get my mind off of that. the next game is tug of war and we get to pick a team. i grab gi-hun's arm. "can i be on your team?", i say. he nods and we make our way with our other team members, like sang woo and sae byeok. we walk into a room very high up with platforms and a rope in the middle. we sit and wait to play. i feel gi-hun's hand interlock with mine. i smile. our team is called up and an old man, number 001, gives us advice on how to win. we make our way onto the platform, holding the rope. the game then begins. we don't move, but we hold. we hold tight. we wait for them to lose breath and then start pulling. over and over again we do this. thanks to the old man, we win. i jump up and down, screaming "YES!" continuously. i'm so happy i lived. i hug gi-hun and subconsciously kiss him. he seems startled but grabs my waist and spins me around, also joyous that we won. everyone starts "awww" ing, and gi-hun and i start laughing. what can i say, he really is all you would want in a person.
