masked man pov:

i pull the trigger. her limp body falls backwards, the cookie container dropping from her hand. she coughs up a bit of blood. "hey, triangle, shoot her again to make sure she's dead.", another triangle whispers to me. "what?! no, that's not necessary-", i try to say, but get interrupted by another gunshot. "come on dude.", he says again. i sharply inhale and pull the trigger once more. she stops moving completely. i shake a bit. what have i done? what have i become? did this girl change me? did i do the wrong thing? should i have given her another cookie? would i be killed if i did that? these are all thoughts clouding in my mind. my head hangs low as i continue on marching around the remaining contestants, checking to see if they'd broken their cookie. i have to shoot about 5 more people. why the fuck am i doing this?!

after the second game

the soldiers then proceed to return to their rooms after a hard day of..uh.. killing? i open the door to my cabin and sit on my bed. my arms are resting on my knees and my head is down. i take off my mask. my body starts to shake. tears start to come down. i just sit there, letting my feelings out. i take off my shoes and lay down, face first, into my bed. i just don't give a shit anymore. my pillow begins to gradually get damper from my tears. i can't help it. i spotted her first. i knew she was beautiful. i learned that she was beautiful inside and out. i always thought she'd be the one. i thought she wouldn't die. i thought we could get out together.

but all that doesn't matter now, does it.
