Hyunjin's backstory pt 3

-Are you here to kill me or something?

The blonde laughed before putting his hand on Hyunjin's shoulder.

-I need a fearless guy like you in my team.

Hyunjin raised an eyebrow.

-Team? You mean a criminal band? No, thank you! I'm not a criminal.

-Then why were you in jail?

Hyunjin looked at the blonde gulping in fear.

-How much you know?

-I like to make my researches before choosing a member. Your fighting skills are perfect for my Danceracha.

-I don't want to have anything to do with someone like you.

-You know, I've never hurt an innocent woman or child. I only kill bad guys.

-But you steal money, interrupted Hyunjin.

-Money is what makes this world work. Some of us are born unlucky. Life was never fair. If I don't get myself money, no one will.

-You're sick. Get lost!

Hyunjin wanted to enter the building, but he felt the gun on the back of his head.

-Don't you need money for your mother?

-She said she'll figure it out.

-No, she won't. No one will hire her when her beloved son killed someone with cold blood. And your father? He's gonna abuse her again.

Hyunjin's eyes widen in confusion.

-What do you mean? I know they fought, but it wasn't something physical.

-That's because he would hit her when you were at school. Why do you think she wore so much makeup?

Suddenly Hyunjin remember how that guy called both him and his father violent.

-If I refuse your offer, you're gonna kill me?

-I considered this, yes.

-Fine. I'll join.

Stray Kids' hideout

-Minho, honey! I brought you a new kid!

Hyunjin moved his gaze towards the door to see a handsome face with scary eyes staring at him.

-Why are you talking like I am your wife? he said with his arms crossed.

-Well, you cook, you take care of the kids. Just saying...

-And if I break your arm, what I am?

-An angry wife that didn't receive any of this lately, he said pointing to himself.

-Your jokes are as dirty as you.

-How would you know that?

Minho trow a pan in Chan's head and left the room with a disgusted face.

The problem with Hyunjin was that he was antisocial thanks to his experience in high school. So he didn't get along with anyone. He would come to eat with others, but stay silent all the time.

He was afraid of Minho, had his doubts about Chan, was annoyed by Jisung, couldn't stand Changbin and considered Felix a fool to stay with these criminals.

He didn't understand how this team can work together.

But he stayed there.

Chan kept his word and sent to Hyunjin's mother the amount of money she needed to move out. In exchange, Hyunjin had to stick with them as much as possible.
