“What on Earth are you doing?!” I heard Pepper Potts voice, snapping, as she entered my workshop “You know that the actions have dropped to…”

“Yeah, yeah” I groaned, finally sitting on the nearest table

“And you are here?!”

“I am working on that, Pepper.” I smiled at her “There’s the solution”

I motioned her to look at the holograms “J? Run simulations. If it works, which it does, send the designs to the military.” I reached for a bottle of water “And send it to Obie, by the way, so he will finally shut up”

“That is really violent” Pepper frowned, staring at me again “I know what that is” She contemplated the Jericho, now fully operational “You decided to build it, I see?”

I smiled at her “I am tired of having people bugging me.”

“Maybe people have a reason to, Tony”

“Pep, there is no equipment like mine. There is no better tech than this. You certainly don’t expect me to believe when those guys say the other side has it”

“Those guys… you mean Rhodey? You think he would lie?”

I rolled my eyes “Rhodey would not lie to me, but he also wants the best for his crew, Pep.”

“He is your friend, above all. He would not want you to…”

“Pep, whatever, it is done now. This might shut them up for a while” I took a deep breath

“Alright, Mr. Stark” She nodded at me

“You are not going to make me go to SI now, are you?”

She raised her eyebrow, before smiling at me “You should take a bath and get ready. Mr. Stane is coming for dinner”

“What?”

“I told you first thing this morning”

“Clearly, I heard you”

“That is not my problem”

“Are you staying?”

“I am afraid I have to…”

“Thanks Pep! Make sure to raise your salary for that” I smirked at her, quickly leaving the workshop and going upstairs to take a shower.

It had been a really long time since I first thought about the Jericho and showed it to Rhodey. I am afraid that, after a while of trying to convince me to built it, he ended up giving up.

It was only at that time, when I was truly getting sick of having everything and everyone talking about how everything was in danger and how my tech was probably not enough to help the military. The actions started to drop and I started having the military constantly begging me for new machinery and, most importantly, or annoyingly, Obie. That man was really getting into my nerves.

“Well, well, don’t tell me” I spoke, walking down the stairs. Obadiah was by the piano, already, with his cigar on his mouth, as always “You came here to bug my ass again”

He smiled, like he always did, before staring at me “I was going to, but then, I saw what you sent.” He stood up, walking to me, putting his arm around me “The Jericho, uh?” he smiled “That is a pretty genius move”

I raised my eyebrow “I thought it would be enough to make you stop bugging me” I honestly spoke

“It will be more than enough to make us some good millions, Tony!” he laughed “Your father would be proud”
