Soon, it was about to be dinner. We were almost done with the second song of the day, Summer Time.
"Okay. Vocals are done," I said. "Let's do the final rappers after dinner."
"Dinner?" Gowon asked.
"Mhm! Usually, all of us would go down to the company restaurant for dinner," Eric shared the things I wished he wouldn't. "Would you like to join us?" he asked.
I really wanna slap this boy across the head.
"That's a great idea, Eric. Y'all can get to know me more while we're at it too!" Gowon suggested.
I felt my heart sink and crumble. Juyeon has been out of it the whole afternoon. Poor thing is probably traumatised by Gowon's stunt from earlier. There must be a way where we can separate, just for a little while, from that spawn of devil.
Before I think of an escape plan from her royal pain, we were all suddenly getting up and heading down. Juyeon and I were the last to stand up. We walked behind the whole group to the lift lobby. We were about to enter the lift when it was already full.
"It's alright. We'll take the next one," I said.
"If you say so," Kevin hummed, closing the door.
Juyeon and I stood there quietly waiting for the next lift.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"Hm?" the boy responded.
"It's okay. I heard everything Gowon said earlier. You can talk to me about it," I shared.
A ding followed my statement, as the lift door opened in front of us.
"I'm... alright, I guess. A little bit uncomfortable, maybe," he tried to explain his feelings.
"I'll make sure she doesn't disrupt your dinner then," I declared.
"Thank you... Sohee," he thanked upon reaching the bottom floor.
I gave him a smile, trying to comfort him as we turned the corner to enter the restaurant. It was unexpectedly packed tonight as we had to split up. Understandable though; our party was 14pax.
"Let's do maknae line and hyung line today," Sangyeon suggested.
Everyone agreed to it and so there I was, spending my time beside Gowon and the rest of the maknae line. It was a benefit for Juyeon since he would be able to eat comfortably but it was an annoyance for me.
