Bloodletting && Save The Last One

Shaylee's POV

My eyes flutter open and I look up to see Shane running as he carries me

"What happened?" I ask as I feel nothing but pain all over my body

"You were shot." Shane says as he continues to run

"What? Where's Carl?" I ask as I look around

"He was shot too. He's bleeding pretty bad." Shane tells me

"Shane!" I hear my dad call out as I look to see him running with Carl

"She's still alive, man!" Shane shouts out before everything goes black again

-Narrator's POV-

Shane and Rick reach a beautiful, big, white farmhouse just as some people walk out the front door

"Were they bit?" An old man with white hair asks

"Shot. By your man." Rick says as they step off of the porch

"Otis?" An older woman asks

"He said find Hershel. Are you Hershel?" Rick asks urgently and the man with white hair nods his head

"Help me. Help my kids!" My dad says

"Get them inside." Hershel says before they hurry into his home

Andrea screams as a walker tries to attack her before she trips over a fallen branch and Maggie rides up on a horse and smacks the walker in the head with a baseball bat before it sinks its teeth into Andrea

"Lori? Are you Lori Grimes?" Maggie asks Andrea

"I'm Lori." Lori tells her

"Rick sent me. You've gotta come now." Maggie says

"What?" Lori asks

"There's been an accident. Carl and Shaylee have been shot." Maggie tells her

"They're still alive but you've got to come now." Maggie states

"Rick needs you. Just come." Maggie says before Lori drops her bag and walks towards Maggie

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. We don't know them." Daryl says to Lori

"Rick said you had others on the highway. That big traffic snarl?" Maggie asks as she helps Lori up onto her horse

"Uh-huh." Glenn replies

"Backtrack to Fairburn road. Two miles down is our farm. You'll see the mailbox. Names Greene." Maggie says

"Hyah!" Maggie yells before she rides off back to the farm

Hershel hands a glass of orange juice to Rick who has just finished giving Carl his second blood transfusion and Shaylee her first

"Okay, so I understand, when Shane gets back with this other man--" Lori starts

"Otis." Hershel tells her

"Otis. The idiot who shot my son and daughter." Lori says

"Ma'am, it was an accident." Hershel tells her

"I'll take that under advisement later. For now, he's the idiot who shot our kids." Lori says as Rick grabs her hand
