It was slowly getting colder and colder as the end of October neared.
Rori's dinner dance thing, whatever the fuck it is, is tonight. I think I'm going with her? We never really talked it through after I invited myself.
"So, I was thinking, if you don't have any plans after we're done for the day, we could go out, get some coffee or something?" Sage spoke to me, twisting a bracelet on.
"Uh, look, don't take this the wrong way, you're great and all, but.." I tried to find the right words to use that wouldn't hurt her feelings. I'm not good with this shit.
"But I'm not her." A sad smile grew on her face as she looked down, away from me.
"What?"
"Rori. You love her." She looked back up at me, her eyes searching around my face.
"What are you talking about?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"It's okay," she nodded, the same smile not leaving her face, "I get it."
She walked away, toward her dressing room.
What the fuck am I supposed to say to that?
"Good eye, mate!"
"Nonsense, you're my wife of five years."
"Yes, I'd love to, let's make out in my dressing room."
I sighed, letting a woman come and fix my hair.
After we finished on set, I finally got in my car and opened my phone.
amour ♥️: hi ur coming tonight right ?
I smiled, typing a response.
me: You're practically begging, it'd be a shame to say no, wouldn't it?
amour ♥️: i hate you
amour ♥️: i'll be ready in about an hour, u can come pick me up then
me: Okay

I debated on whether or not to get her flowers, I figured it was too much for people that were meant to be just friends.
I waited outside her door, trying to figure out if I should knock or wait until she's ready.
I didn't get to decide because she opened the door, startled to see me standing in the doorway.
