December 1st was normally your favourite month of the year, but this time around it was your least favourite, you had a massive leak in your apartment, which meant you were having to find somewhere else to live for a bit.

With not knowing much people you were stuck living with your dad, he had offered you the spare room, he was not in the best mindset right now, he had recently got sacked from the Chelsea board, a day after a cup win, with Mason being the captain, Chelsea had replaced him so soon, it felt like a slap in the face.

Mason had reached out a couple times to you, asking how your dad was, it definitely got you guys talking more, but just as friends.

You had helped decorated the house this year for christmas, since you were unable to do so at your apartment.

You had put the tree up as soon as it hit December, when it came around to Christmas you didn't joke about, it was your favourite holiday, you enjoyed getting gifts, you hated giving them. People with the fake thank you, that annoyed you.

You wanted to, decorate the house as a family, which is why you found yourself making three hot chocolates.

You would drink it while sorting out the house, you had no idea when you would get back into your apartment, which is why you were so excited to do this.

"I don't understand why we are having to put the Christmas tree up right on December 1st" your dad said, "because every year I forced you to do it, and even in California I forced my friends to put up the Christmas tree up, it became a tradition for me now" you spoke, since you could remember you always put the Christmas decorates up.

You guys had your new album on, your dad wanted it on, and of course you couldn't say no, well I mean you could, but you didn't want to. At this point he could sing every lyric in the album, it make you laugh, hearing his attempted at your songs.

You never realised how much you missed your dad, until you got back to London, he was everything, he was your family, he would drop everything if you needed his help, he came with you and helped you out with your mum, he understood why you needed to move back to California for a bit.

"no don't put that there it looks ugly" you told your dad shaking your head "I didn't realised it looked like you then" he joked, making you shocked "well I get my looks off you, so you called yourself ugly" you felt smart in like minute, that was until he pulled you into a headlock, messing up your hair, before letting go on you, with a big proud smile on his face, you stuck up your middle finger, before making a dash. You could tell he was following you, which is why you found yourself hiding under your bed.

You saw when he walked into the room, which is where you found yourself holding your breath, scared to made a noise. You thought you were safe, until he grabbed your ankle "found you" he said, "now come on we have got Christmas decorates to put up" he said helping you get up.

When you got back downstairs you had not realised you put up a lot of decorates, and how you needed to decorate the Christmas tree.

"hey guys, I really tired you guys are ok to finish the tree right" you heard Christine asked, with a simple nod of the head she made her way upstairs, you knew your dad asked if you guys could do this, just the two of you guys.

"just like old times" you said before making your way over to the tree, finding the box full to the brim of ornaments, you looked at a couple, and you knew they were from your childhood, there were a couple custom ones, one had your name on it, and another had a picture of you and your dad "you know we should get a updated one, this one has just us two" you said, you might not have your mum there, but Christine definitely acted like one, she was so helpful with your breakup, she was by your side, talking you through the break up, she had done more than your mother ever did.

"hey dad, can I ask you something?" you asked him "of course you can "you can say no if you feel unconformable with it, but I was wondering if I could get adopts papers, I want Christine to be my legal mum, I know I'm 21 and you might think I'm too old-" before you could say anything else he cut you off "don't be dumb, I want that, she is like a mum to you, so why not made it her Christmas present" he said "wait that's a great idea, I'll get it sorted tomorrow, and I'll keep you updated" you said before sorting the tree out.

After you finished you put the lights off, and the Christmas tree lights on "Christmas has officially started" you said
