Survivor

As the wind scorched her bare body,

And the moon caressed her ruffled strands,

She stood up,

Meek yet strong

Pulled the torn clothes over her bruised body

The light in her eyes, as bright as the day she was born

Bare and beautiful.

Just like all our sisters

Who've been there before,

Survivor

That's what she was.
