As soon as I finish talking, I take a deep breathe almost instantaneously feeling regret for all that I have just told. Immediately I get off the couch shaking my head urgently searching for a way out but the fog of my past clouding my judgement. A faint voice in the background calls for calm and to my surprise the voice begins to overpower the fear inside, something that has never happened before. Have I reached my breaking point ? Are my own self defenses damaged ? Whatever Derek was able to do or say did something and I'm going to have to minimize the damage because I'd I don't Bravo will never look at me the same.

Derek managed to calm the girl down from clearly an anxiety attack eventually deciding that sedation would be best so she could sleep. Insomnia leads to exhaustion which is never good for any child let alone one working for the military. The young girl was so heightened she never even realized nor responded to what the medic had done. Derek knew that at that moment her walls were broken, and needed to be rebuilt. No child should ever feel on edge for as long as she had, and it's evident in her habits. He didn't know all of them but from their conversation it was clear she was suppressing the pain and possible confrontation of her own self with stimulates and illegal substances in order to create this mask. Clearly this mask worked as it enabled her to act in a way that made her actions stand out more than anyone's concern for her emotions. The medic looked to the young girl asleep on his couch and realized that it wasn't just a call to Hannah nor a call to bravo it was a life style reset, and he was going to do everything in his power to be there for her.

  Following some tense phone calls later that afternoon Bravo soon gathered along with Hannah in order to devise a plan once they knew that the young girl was safe. The team brought in Derek and Fullmetal form Alpha as well full knowing the young girl would soon call them brothers as they already all did. The young girl was watching Gracie Blackburn and Jeemelah Perry under the eyes of Namia as they noticed that Zoë Kai had a great nurturing side to her and instantly seemed to change when the two cousins connected with her. The group looked to the front porch where the teen sat coloring with the two girls looking as though she'd been watching them her whole life. Jason was the first to speak after a moment of reflection "She's not ready to be our translator and frankly I don't want her to be. Before anyone starts, it's not because of her past because when you join the brotherhood it's about the here, the now, and if you'll watch my back just as hard as I'm watching yours. I know damm well, I'd be watching her back, and I'd know damm well she'd watch mine but she'd watch mine at her own expense. She's only fourteen for christs sake, and if she keeps at this pace the next mission she comes on she might not make it home. Doesn't the CIA know this ?" Jason's words came out with passion, conviction and a tone only ever heard when speaking about his children. His subtle gab at the centeral intelligence agency did not go unnoticed by Mandy who looked up at the group waiting to speak. "Of course we know this Jason. We've been working with her since she was twelve when she was ..." The sentence paused off causing the rest of the group to turn their full attention towards her. The organization was going to pay a pretty penny for them, so much so that the ambassador could get away with it. Not just the bribery and espionage but their kidnapping. He would blame it on an unstable marriage but Zoë mother, the daughter of the long time Senator from Massachusetts McKinley Kennedy, had other plans. Elizabeth Kennedy Zoe's mother, managed to somehow get an sos text through to her father shortly before the kidnapping. Her father, the head of the armed services committee reached out to the CIA. The CIA connected with the SEALs and  devised a plan using information Elizabeth found on her husbands laptop when she was ordering shoes for Zoe's new school year. Unfortunately the ambassador found out she new and moved up the date of the sale, before we could get to them. It took almost nine months to get an accurate location. But, as a serve epileptic Elizabeth didn't survive more than a few weeks without any medication. Zoë survived for seventeen months, twenty two days before being rescued by a small group of special operators, one them being our own Commander Blackburn. From there she was moved around different foster homes in the area until her grandfather finally got his dying wish. The wish was to be returned to the group that saved her life. Little did he know, when he requested that unit he was unaware it had been disbanded and that bravo now took his place. Senator Kennedy and my boss go very far back so as Senator Kennedy battled his cancer he reached out to my boss who demanded that he had his best agent, keep an eye on his granddaughter. That worked for a few years while I was at Quantico and Zoe regularly met with me and then moved with me when I came to Virginia Beach. Meanwhile, in this move she got a new social worker, Hannah Blackburn and Senator Kennedy when using his resources found out that one of the men who saved his granddaughters life was married to Zoë social worker. With that in mind the Senator made a true deathbed wish, and we honored it. Zoe doesn't know that it was her grandfather who made sure you all met as he knew Beau Myers wasn't going to change. Guys, with the way Zoë father is, he is not stoping until he gets his daughter back, and quite frankly kills her. So yes, she's a certified genius with incredible skill and abilities vital to the United States Navy SEALs, but she's also a protection mission. If her father gets to her, he will kill her or sell her. He sees her as the only thing stopping him from getting away with not just these crimes, but the worst of all selling American secrets to terrorists and becoming one of them.
