Kazuma sat at the table with others while sporting a black eye

The morning had been quite eventful for him

Chomosuke had quietly slipped into megumin and Kazuma's room just before yuiyui had locked the door

She was not going to leave her child with Kazuma alone

She had quietly sat in the dark obscured from their vision, watching them chat away

Turned out she did the right thing when she followed them because Just after her child had gone to sleep, that neet seemed to have decided something as he suddenly stood up and started to silently creep towards megumin's bedding

Kazuma heard a growling from the corner of the room

He turned around to see two yellow orbs glowing in the dark

Seeing which Kazuma almost screamed

Chomosuke walked out of the dark menacingly, well as menacing a cat can be, while maintaining eye contact with Kazuma

Seeing that it was just the cat Kazuma said

"uhh it's you chomosuke, I didn't notice you were here, umm listen I would give you some good cat treats when we get back to axel if you-"

Kazuma tried to bribe the cat but seeing her growl again he stopped

"Okay,okay I get the message, I wasn't going to do anything anyway" Kazuma grumbled as he went back to his bedding

"Good" chomosuke said as she went back to her corner

The night went by fast and soon the sun rose up

Chomosuke saw megumin slowly wake up

She lay there for a while in her bed, facing towards Kazuma and seemed to be looking at his face

"Stop staring" Kazuma said with his eyes still closed

"What, I-I wasn't staring what are you on about Kazuma" megumin said as she tried to look anywhere but Kazuma's direction

"oh really?" Kazuma asked as he opened one eye and looked at her

This moment was however broken when someone barged into the room

"don't worry megumin I am here to save you, show yourself Kazuma!" darkness yelled out as she stepped inside, sword in hand and sporting a blushing face

Her blush slowly went away when she saw the deadpan look both Kazuma and megumin were giving her from their positions

She was just lowering her sword when the other idiot came running in

"did you get that neet darkne-" Aqua said before she crashed into unsuspecting darkness from behind

Both of them toppled over and fell on Kazuma with darkness's sword missing Kazuma's privates by few inches

That brings us back to the four sitting at the table with darkness surprisingly looking a little sheepish while aqua just sat there with a non chalant look on her face

"Your tea Kazuma-san" yuiyui said handing Kazuma his cup

"you didn't have to-"

"you are our daughter's comrade I could this much"

Kazuma was about take a sip when he stopped and started to look around

Something always came up in these situations for him

When nothing happened for a solid minute and he started to gain weird looks from the three he went for a sip again

"DEMON KING'S ARMY ALERT, DEMON KING'S ARMY ALERT. EVERYONE PLEASE GATHER BEFORE THE GRIFFON STATUE AT THE VILLAGE ENTRANCE. WE HAVE VISUALS OF THE ENEMY!"
