Sunghoon went back to the headquarters and proceeded to Pres. Bang. He want to report the things he found out. He went inside to the President's office and greeted him. "Good evening Sir. Bang!" Sunghoon greeted. "Good evening to you as well, Sunghoon. So what brings you in my office? You need something?" Sir. Bang replied. "I just want to report to you the information I've collected about the new crime." Sunghoon said.
"I've already interviewed our fellow detectives who spotted the children's bodies. They explained to me how they found it and all of them seems to be honest of what they are saying and nothing suspicious in them. I also went to the crime scene. The kids were murdered harshly so they need justice. The kids who only lost their eyes are only unconscious and taken by the ambulance. I hope they'll still live. They can be good source of information to track the suspects." Sunghoon reported. "Thank you Sunghoon. I wish you the best to succeed the mission I gave. You've never disappointed me. I have high hopes and expectations to you." Mr. Bang replied.
"You're welcome sir. Just doing my job." Sunghoon said smiling nervously. "That's all I want to say sir. I'll leave now." He added. "Sure. Good luck again." Mr. Bang replied. Sunghoon then went out from the president's office. He kinda felt nervous and pressured. Mr. Bang trusted Sunghoon so much. He has high hopes and expectations of him. But what if Sunghoon fails? What if he dissapoints his boss? Those thoughts keep bothering his mind.
Sunghoon was sitting in his office when suddenly, his phone rang. It was his co-detective. "Ni-ki! How can I help you? What's with the sudden call?" Sunghoon asked. Ni-ki is his friend. "I want to inform you that only one of the three children survived. The kid is already awake now and won't stop crying. We need you to come here asap. Maybe you can calm him down. We're on room 23." Ni-ki said. "Don't worry. I'm on my way." Sunghoon replied then ran outside the headquarters and hopped on his car.
He rushed to the hospital. He then rushed to the said room and saw Ni-ki and Jungwon sitting beside the kid trying everything to calm him down but he won't stop crying. "Step aside. I'm expert at babysitting. I'll handle this." Sunghoon said with confidence. Ni-ki and Jungwon stepped aside then clapped at Sunghoon. Sunghoon took something from his pocket. It was a cherry flavored lollipop. He always brings lollipop with him everywhere he go. He buys 3 packs and it's good for a week. He likes lollipop because he likes sucking something.
He peeled the lollipop and brought it closer to the kid's nose for him to smell it. "I-is t-that a-a l-lollipop? C-can I h-have it p-please?" The kid said with a shaky voice. "Yes you can but I need you to promise me something." Sunghoon replied. "I'll do a-anything." The kid replied. Sunghoon then gave the lollipop to the kid. "Yummy! This is my favorite flavor. Cherry!" The kid said and loved the sweet candy. "You promised to do anything right?" Sunghoon asked. "Yes I will. What do y-you w-want? W-will you hurt me? P-please don't. I don't trust easily now because of what happened to me but I'll trust you because you gave me a lollipop and you have a nice voice. I'm sure you're a good and handsome person just by hearing voice, even if I can't ever see you." The kid said.
Sunghoon smiled. He loved the kid's compliment. "Don't worry kiddo. I'm a police detective. I'll never hurt you. I'm here to do some interviews. Is that okay with you?" Sunghoon asked. "Yes I will." The kid replied while eating his lollipop. "Okay, can I first know you name?" He asked. "My name is Jeonmin." The kid replied. "Okay Jeonmin. May I know how did this happened to you?" Sunghoon asked slowly. He thought the kid would cry because what happened to him was traumatic but the kid was acting like nothing happened.
"My mom asked me to pick up the galbijim she ordered in the shop that was like 750 meters away from home. There was a dark path towards the shop so I was kinda scared but vehicles are passing so I was kinda relieved. But a van stopped in front of me and a man ran towards me fastly. I was about to run but the man already got my shirt and he placed a handkerchief in my mouth and nose. I remembered falling asleep after that. Then I woke up in a somewhat like hospital room but I'm sure I'm not in a real hospital."
"A man then came towards me. He was holding a liquor bottle and he spanked it in my head and I remember it hurt a lot and I became unconscious. Then after that there were sirens and I can't see anything. Something was lifting me so I kinda thought I was being taken to the hospital. Then when I woke up I started crying because maybe those guys are back. But the voice was different. It was deep but young voice. He told me that the monster will come if I won't stop crying and I was really scared and can't stop crying." The kid explained.
Sunghoon then looked at Ni-ki with a "bruh" look. Ni-ki then made a peace sign to Sunghoon and Jungwon was silently laughing. "Don't believe that guy. He's a total crackhead. I'm sorry, I can't do anything to give back your vision." Sunghoon said. "It's not your fault don't be sorry. I hope you'll seek justice for me." The kid said. "I will. I promise. I have few more questions though. Uhm! Do you know that there are other kids with you? Do you know their names or info about them?". Sunghoon asked. "Nope! I remembered that I'm the only one. I haven't seen my surroundings properly so I probably didn't just saw them." The kid answered.
"Last question. Can you describe the man who took you and spanked you with a bottle? Are they the same person?" Sunghoon asked. "The man who ran towards me was wearing a mask so I can't clearly see his face but I'm pretty sure that his hair was red. And the one who spanked me with a bottle seemed drunk and had a blonde hair. I also remembered a name but I'm not pretty sure if I heard it right and I don't know which one was who. I remembered hearing the name Soobin." The kid said.
