Jake woke up first and when he opened his eyes, Sunghoon was still sleeping. He wants to cook breakfast for both of them. A simple way to create friendship. He then carefully lifted Sunghoon's arms that was hugging him and then went slowly went out the room. It was his first time there and he clearly doesn't have any idea where to find the kitchen and other things. He was exploring the house then suddenly a man appeared in front him. He was wearing a suit for waiters. "Good morning Mr. Park. How can I he-, wait, you're not my boss. Who are you? How did you get inside?" The man said to Jake.
"Oh hi good morning. Obviously I'm not Sunghoon. I'm his assistant so please don't think that I'm a burglar. I just want to make breakfast for both of us. Can you lead me to the kitchen? Wait, I haven't asked you yet who are you?" Jake said. " Me? I am one of Park Sunghoon's maids. I never knew that he had an assistant. Well Mr. Park doesn't eat breakfast but since he brought a friend, he might eat." The maid replied. "Oh okay. Now, can you lead me to the kitchen?" Jake replied. "I'm sorry to say but only maids can go in the kitchen. You'll just have to decide what to eat and the chefs will cook them for you." The maid replied.
"Really? Is there a menu? Or limit? Or I can just order anything that I want?" Jake asked. "The chef in this household is extremely the best and considered as world's one of the best. Mr. Park's pantry has complete ingredients so yes, anything you want." The maid replied.
"Yay great. So I want 4 pancakes stacked together. Add whipped cream on the top. Add some syrup. Add popcorn and strawberry at the top. Please make the same for Sunghoon." Jake said.
"And for the beverage sir?".The maid asked. "Uhm, is milk tea fine? Does your boss likes that?" Jake asked. "Yes sir. Mr. Park drinks that early in the morning sometimes." The maid replied. "Great, then 2 milk teas. One for me and one for Sunghoon." Jake replied. "Sure sir. It will be ready in 15 minutes." The maid replied then walked away. Going to the kitchen probably. "Wow 15 minutes!? That's fast." Jake said to his self.
15 minutes have passed and the food is ready to eat. "Here you go sir! Enjoy the food!" The maid said. "Thank you uhm- what's your name?" Jake asked. "It's Yeonjun sir!" He replied. "Thanks Yeonjun!" Jake replied. Yeonjun then walked away from the table. Jake then hurriedly went back to Sunghoon's room to wake him up and tell him that breakfast is ready.
He went inside and saw Sunghoon was still sleeping peacefully. He didn't want to wake him up because he's so handsome while sleeping and just want to stare at his face but no, it's already 10 in the morning and they both need to eat something before going to work. He lay down in the bed and held Sunghoon's cheek. "Sunghoon-ah. Wake up. It's already 10am. Let's go eat. Breakfast is ready." Jake said and shook Sunghoon to wake him up. "Jake it's still early, let's go back to sleep." Sunghoon replied with a husky deep voice and then hugged Jake.
"Sunghoon, we have work on today on 1pm right?" Jake asked. "Oh shit I forgot. Come on let's go eat. I'm already awake." Sunghoon said then quickly jumped out the bed when he realized they had to attend work. Jake laughed at the younger's action. Both of them got out the room and went to the table. Sunghoon saw the pancakes Jake asked the maid to cook. "Ta-da! I ordered these from the maids. Do you like it." Jake asked. "It really looks unique. I'll try to eat it and see if it goes well." Sunghoon replied.
Jake never really had this kind of pancake yet. He just copied this from one of his favorite cartoon shows, Steven Universe. It looked delicious so that's what he asked the maid to cook. Both of them took a bite. Slowly chewing their food. "I never expected this to be this good." Jake said. "Actually when you look it from the outside, it's really a weird combination to see but when you taste it, it's really good." Sunghoon said. Jake nodded as a sign of agreement.
Both were eating in complete silence and Sunghoon decided to break it. "So Jake, remember I told you we want to to know each other better, so, mind telling me some of your infos?" Sunghoon said. "Uh yeah sure. My full name is Sim Jaeyun, but just call me Jake, thats what my family and friends call me back when I was living in Australia. I lived there after I was born and went here in Korea when I was 15." Jake said.
"Oh so you're from Australia. Why did you decided to become a police?" Sunghoon asked. "Uhm, I don't wanna talk about it right now, maybe in another time." Jake replied. Sunghoon saw Jake's expression changed. He regretted asking the aussie that question. "How about you hoon?" Jake asked. "Well what do you want to know?" Sunghoon replied.
"Well, uhm, I don't really know. Uhm are you single? I mean are you struggling in this mission Mr. Bang gave?" Jake said. Jake what fuck did you just asked? Sunghoon laughed and smirked at Jake. "Yes, I am single and I'm not really struggling, just kinda puzzled y'know. Why'd you asked me if I'm single? You try'na hit on me?" Sunghoon said and teased Jake. Jake blushed and became shy. "I'm sorry I didn't meant to say that, please forget I asked that. And also, I hope that you won't be puzzled anymore since I'll help you this time." Jake said. Sunghoon then smiled.
"When is your birthday hoon?" Jake asked. "December 8, 2002, why?" Sunghoon replied. Jake covered his mouth, shooketh. "So I'm older than you? But why are you taller than me?" Jake said sulking. Sunghoon then laughed at the older's reaction.
"Really? So when is yours?" He asked. "November 15, same year." Jake replied. "Oh, that's not much gap but I don't know why I'm taller. I never thought I'll call you hyung." Sunghoon teased. "WHAT! NO! Please don't call me hyung. I feel old when called by that." Jake said. Sunghoon was just laughing hard.
"Okay so I also wanna know what are your first impression about me." Sunghoon said "Oh really. Well, I really looked up to you, you were my inspiration and motivation. Every trainers were talking about you like you are so young but considered as the best detective, you do your job productively and I really considered you as my idol. Until now, I can't believe Mr. Bang made me you assistant. I was really honored you know." Jake said. Sunghoon blushed. He never knew that people looked up to him. He just thought that other will just be jealous but he was wrong. He was really happy. "I never knew that people looked up to me. I'm really happy Jake. Thank you!" Sunghoon said. "You're welcome Sunghoon!" Jake replied.
"What about me? What are your first thoughts about me and reaction when you found out you'll be having an assistant?" Jake asked. "Oh yeah, I'm sorry but, I really thought having an assistant is just an obstacle to my work, annoying me, bothering me but I was wrong, actually having you Jake is really fun. You're very cute too." Sunghoon said. Jake smiled by the younger's words. "Thank you hoon." Jake said. Both of them were talking and having fun, getting to know each other more.
