IT still feels like yesterday,
When we met each other,
In some unknown garden of flowers,
We exchanged hearts wrapped in gifts and covers.
Our connection was so unexpected,
Just like soulmates which are very few selected,
You made me feel the love I read in books,
Dreamy, pure and heavenly, not by money or looks.
I look back at me, so tired and lonely,
A mess that I was in, only you could look so closely,
You loved me as if you have known me,
For thousands of years, and now you've softened my heart-stony.
A connection like this was unknown,
Oh how beautiful it is! The world you have shown,
A pure paradise with only you and me alone,
You gave me your light which I never did own.
You made me laugh and cry,
Made me jump and fly,
Made me experience a beautiful truth, wasn't it supposed to be a lie?
Depressing how sometimes, we've to part ways, wave a goodbye.
What more can I write about you, my friend?
The words would go on even if the pages would end,
My heart that I've lent, you've got it amend,
It's insane how different we are but so perfectly blend.
What more can I write about you, my friend?
My love for you is more than a pen can comprehend.
