"no! just please tell me I cant handle being blindfolded like this i've lost one of my senses it's hard to function." I plead with him, trying to just give up this whole surprise thing.
"noo y/n I want to take you out to this place and I don't want the surprise to be spoiled! we are almost there just keep walking forward."
I sighed before continuing my small steps toward. I probably looked like a fool right now walking the streets of L.A with a blindfold on and a man walking behind me with his hands on my hips guiding me around.
I should've never agreed to this.
"vinnie" I groan.
it's me and vinnies 1 year anniversary and even though we've already celebrated he said he had one last surprise to take me.
it had to include me being blindfolded which is stupid in my opinion but he insisted.
we keep waddling a few more paces until he finally announces we've made it.
he unhooks the blindfold from me and I look up at the sign reading 6th street bakery. I could almost burst into tears with the amount of happiness in my body right now.
me and vinnie met a year ago exactly in this exact location. I was reading a book while he came in with a few of his friends getting some coffee with them.
he was too scared to ask for my number so his friend, jett, did it and we hit it off immediately.
"aww vinnie your such a little softie I swear." I pout at him. he hits me playfully before interlocking our hands and walking in.
"only a softie when it comes to you." his lips lean down to my cheek to place a soft kiss on it.
the grin that spreads across my face is fucking huge and I cant stop it. he's been so amazing to me this past year and I really see my future with him.
"Hi! welcome to 6th street bakery what would you like?" the cashier says way too cheerfully for my liking. her pointer finger twirls the blonde locks on her head seductively like i'm not even here.
vinnie looks over to me and I appreciate the fact that he's also noticed her stupid ass behavior.
he smiled at me and gave my hand a reassuring hand squeeze.
the cashier notices and stops playing with her hair. yeah bitch, he's mine.
"I'd like a caramel macchiato and a strawberry danish please." I smile and replicate her cheerful voice.
"alright and is that all?" she says back, her voice monotone.
"i'll have a caramel macchiato too." vinnie says.
we sit down at the same table I sat at when I was here that day, surprised I even still remembered.
"so you definitely saw how she was flirting with me. like you weren't even there?" he scoffs.
I giggle slightly at his pissed off attitude. i'm the one who should be pissed off but he's 100% mine and no random cashier can change that.
"yeah, very odd. you seem more mad than me though"
"yeah just annoyed. we were holding hands but she still just had no respect for either of us."
I nod my head in agreement and grab his hands into mine and squeeze them lightly.
"your mine. i'm yours. no ones gonna change that.-" I lean up from my seat slightly and motion for him to do the same before whispering into his ear "-she won't be the one moaning under you tonight so i'm not worried"
I giggle before sitting back in my seat and pulling out my phone like nothing just happened.
I see through my peripheral vision vinnie with a shocked expression and his hand discretely reaches under the table - no doubt fixing himself.
men are so easy.
"57" the cashier call out. I check the receipt and see that's our number.
"are you gonna go get it?" I ask knowing damn well he needs to calm himself down before standing, if you know.
"uh- no."
I laugh before getting up and going to grab our food. "thank you" I say to the cashier.
"hey uhm wait, is that vinnie your sitting with?" she asks.
I think for a good 5 seconds about my response. I mean, if I say no she'll probably figure out that I lied later on.
"uhh yeah"
"isnt he single? do you think you could ask him to take my number for me. you know girls help girls?" she giggles at me. what the fuck?
who the hell does she think she is? I know our relationship isn't public on social media but we were literally holding hands and everyone's pretty much already figured out.
"No. I'm dating him." I simply say before turning around and walking away.
she really has some nerve huh.
our date continues on being perfect. we laugh reminiscing on memory's and get riled up thinking about what's gonna happen when we get home. I couldn't be more happier with him.
