Being an influencer living in L.A meant a lot of things. You had to be prepared to meet a lot of two-faced people and you have to be ready to actually be social. I grew up fairly anti-social but I started making tiktoks as a joke and blew up a little. My friend, Maddy, is making me go to a party with her and her boyfriend tonight.
It's someone's birthday, I forgot already but I am not looking forward to this. It was around 8 o clock and I was getting ready in my room while Maddy and her boyfriend were downstairs pre-gaming.
I did my makeup then hair and found a simple outfit to put on. It was a simple green top and and animal print skirt. I grabbed a black mini-handbag for my essentials and stared in the mirror mentally preparing myself for this.
I'm the newest "it girl" on tiktok so I know a lot of people will want to make videos but I hope for the sake of my anxiety they accept that I don't want to tonight. I'm just not feeling this party.
I sigh dramatically before putting my shoes on and heading downstairs where I find Maddy and Jordan making out on our couch. I cough slightly to get there attention and they pull away.
"Oh hey y/n your finally ready!" Maddy says jumping off of the couch and grabbing her keys from the listen island. "Uhm yeah, who's party is this again?" I ask.
"It's Vinnie Hackers birthday. He's turning 19." she responds meekly. I would lie and say my eyes didn't light up at the mention of his name, but they did. He's got. Too fucking hot. I'm too awkward and have wayyy too much anxiety to even talk to him but it's making my heart flutter just knowing i'm gonna be in the same room as him.
I nodded and then we all made our way to the car. I drove while Maddy sat passenger and Jordan was in the back. They listened to music and did karaoke the entire ride but I just focused on how I could potentially throw up right now and maybe Maddy could let me get out of this.
Shaking my head away from my intrusive thoughts I pulled into the massive driveway. It was about 9:30 now so the party's started about 30 minutes ago. I parked on the lawn because Maddy said it was fine.
Maddy and Jordan got out first but I had to take a deep breath before I stepped out of the car because I knew once I stepped out, it was time to actually interact with people. I grabbed my purse and followed Maddy into the house and god, I wasn't ready for this.
The music was loud. Louder than I thought even possible. There were purple lights illuminating the room from somewhere but I didn't look up to find that source. I looked around for a moment, seeing a bunch of my tiktok mutals partying and drinking.
"Come on y/n." Maddy said as she dragged me to the kitchen. I didn't like drinking but something told me I would need liquid courage for this so I grabbed a wine-cooler and added some alcohol in it.
"Can we go dance Y/n? You'll be fine right?" Maddy asked.
"Yeah Maddy I don't need a babysitter." I chuckled awkwardly before watching them head off to the living room. I stood around for a second before deciding I just couldn't do this. I started walking upstairs.
In movies I always see people at party's walking into random peoples room and having sex but I needed to find a bathroom to hide out in.
As I walking up the stairs slowly, occasionally sipping my drink, I bumped into someone.
"Hey, it's y/n right?" he asked.
"Yeah uhm, you're Bryce right?" I mentally gagged. I hated talking to people and pretending I liked them when I didn't.
