Alastor's POV

I stood at the alter, dressed in a wine red tuxedo as I waited for my bride to walk through the chapel doors.

Having a formal marriage ceremony is a bit cliche...and also slightly ironic...but hey.

Who gives a damn.

And do you even know how long it took to find a church?

Anywho...I felt like I was going to throw up.

I'm nervous, excited and antsy to see my gorgeous doe in her wedding attire. Maizebeth had absolutely refused to let me see before the wedding, something about "bad luck".

As soon as the music started my back straightened and my smile widened.

Looking out into the crowed of demons that showed up, I felt...what's the word...blessed?

Without her in my life...why...I'd still be all alone in my tower.

Looking out I saw Rosie, Mimzy and Vox sitting in one of the front rows. Vox was invited by Ariel, but I suppose I don't mind too much.

I can wring his neck another day.

On the other set of pews in the front sat the royal Magne family...well, Lilith and Charlie, at least.

Charlie wore a huge smile per usual, and waved at me very excitedly. I had to stop myself from chuckling, but lifted my fingers as a small wave in return.

Behind them were Vagatha, Alex, Niffty and Angel Dust.

Whom had received a very stern talking to.

Then filling the empty seats were any curious demons who wanted to come. Ariel opened it to the public...the front row seats were reserved for friends and family.

We had decided to only have a maid of honor and a best man. I gave Maizebeth a short glance, and she gave me a reassuring smile. She is, of course, the maid of honor.

"Here she comes, buddy," Husk, my best man, whispered from behind me. For once he wasn't drunk, and had cleaned up, dressed in a sharp tuxedo.

The chapel doors opened and I held my breath, bracing myself.

Do not cry, Alastor.

She stepped into the room, and immediately tears welled up in my eyes.

I watched her slowly walk down the isle, Lucifer leading her in place of her father. Her gorgeous wine red wedding dress trailing behind her in possibly the longest train I've ever seen.

It took four demons behind her to keep it straight.

I quickly swiped away a tear that fell from my eye, sniffing before standing up a bit straighter.

On her finger the black diamond glittered and she unlooped her arm from Lucifer's, stepping up onto the stairs. He took her hand to help her, seeing as she's wearing stiletos.

She made it up safely, smiling at me the entire time.

So gorgeous...

Her black veil cascaded down her hair in a spider web design, little red ruby pens littered throughout to give it a dripping blood effect.

I wonder who's little touch that was.

I looked down at her, taking her hands in mine.

The priest cleared his throat and started the ceremony.

It all seemed like a blur, but at the same time, time was moving so slowly.

Finally...the vows.

I took her hands in mine, smiling down at her. This gentle woman...whom I've come to love so dearly. Who reminds me of my dear mother. Who takes my breath away each time I lay eyes on her.

"My love...through all my years living and dead, I have been alone," I started, looking her in the eyes, "the day I met you...or perhaps I should say the day you accidentally summoned a demon..." a few laughs were heard from the crowd and I smirked at her little pout.

"It was the best day of my entire existence," I said sincerely, "and I wouldn't trade that moment for anything this world has to offer. You are my foundation and my structure...you are my beloved, and you hold the key to my heart...but above everything else..." I paused, squeezing her hands gently, "you are my best friend."

Tears threatened to spill over her eyes, just barely contained by her bottom lashes.

"Alastor...you're probably the most arrogant knucklehead I think I've ever met..." she started, and I chuckled softly. The crowd did as well, and I shot them a look.

"You get on my nerves, commit felonies on a daily basis, and you can't go a day without causing someone physical pain."

Her thumbs brushed over my knuckles and she smiled up at me, "and I've never loved anyone more...in my entire life. I would follow you to the end of time...you have my heart, my soul, and my loyalty. You were my first real friend...and my only true love."

The warmth that spread through my chest at her words was pure love. Adoration. Admiration.

Just then the music started again and everyone turned to see a tiny fawn demon toddling up to the alter.

She was holding a little pillow, very carefully just how her daddy (that's me) showed her.

I looked at my tiny spawn with a big smile as she climbed the stairs and presented the wedding bands.

"Papa," Angelica said, holding the pillow up as high as she could towards me.

In the few months it took us to prepare the wedding, she's grown to about the size of a 4 year old. We can only assume it won't take very long at all for her to reach adolescence and then adulthood.

"Maman," she held the pillow up to her mama.

We both took our rings, looking into each other's eyes for a moment before I gave her a soft smile. She returned it, and then slipped the wedding band onto my finger. I slipped hers onto her finger as well.

Our baby toddled away, choosing Lucifer as her person of choice to sit with as she waddled over to him and put her arms up. He placed her in his lap, playing with her quietly.

We both turned towards the priest.

"Do you, Ariel, take this man to be your husband...to have and to hold, to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health...for richer...for poorer, through everlasting death and beyond the void, forever shall your hearts be united, for as long as you both shall exist?"

"I do."

Her smile rivaled mine in that moment, and I waited for my turn to say the words.

"Do you, Alastor, take this woman to be your wife...to have and to hold, to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health...for richer...for poorer, through everlasting death and beyond the void, forever shall your hearts be united, for as long as you both shall exist?"

"I do."

We both shared a moment, just looking into each other's eyes. These past couple of years have been hectic, fast, and full of surprises. We've been through everything together, and we still have so much more to experience.

She is my entire world.

"You may now kiss the bride."
