Getting Zoe Back

Mona drove as fast as she could and when she reached the house she kicked in the door and ran in " damn it. She's not here. OK maybe she meant the last place I saw her" Mona said running out of the house and to the next location. Nothing, she ran to another location and saw Zoe being held at gunpoint " give me back my sister" Mona said angrily " oh Mona Lisa. It seems you've forgotten how this works. You see this is no ordinary gun, it's a mutagen gun and if I pull this trigger. Little Zoe turns into a mutant just like you" Erica said smiling " I won't let that happen. Zoe, listen to me when I say run you run" Mona said not looking at the child " awww, you'll never make it in time Mona Lisa. She'll have mutagen in her system by the time you reach me" Erica said smiling. Mona proved her wrong and in 3 seconds she was grabbing the gun and pointing it at Erica's neck " Zoe. Go find somewhere to hide. I'll find you. I promise" Mona said looking at the scared child " what about you?" she asked crying " I'll find you. Now go" Mona said smiling. The little girl listened and ran off. Mona pushed the gun closer to Erica's neck and pulled the trigger. She pushed Erica to the ground and stomped on her leg braking it " let's see what you turn into shall we?" Mona said crouching next to her head. Mona watched as Erica slowly started to mutate into a half human half snake. Mona grabbed one of her knives and stabbed it into Erica's tail and walked away to find Zoe. She found her hiding in a box in and alley " good idea on the box zo. Come on let's get you home" Mona said picking up the girl. She wound up falling asleep in Mona's arms. They reached the house around 3 in the morning. Mona carried the girl into her room and put her in her bed and made sure her window was locked and she just sat outside the door until she fell asleep

Cj woke her up and gave her a cup of coffee " you ok?" he asked sitting next to her " I found Erica, she took Zoe but I got her back and now Erica's a mutant snake" Mona said as she took a sip of her coffee " really. Is Zoe ok!?" Cj asked standing up and opening the door to see a still sleeping Zoe " she's fine. I'll ask dad if she can stay home for the day. She'll need time to get over this" Mona said taking another sip of coffee " good idea. Staying with you is the best option" Cj said closing the door and sitting back down " what time did you konc out?" Cj asked " I don't know. Around 5. What time is it?"  Mona asked " it's 6 : 46" Cj said standing up " I gotta go, I just came back to do some laundry and get some food. I'll see you mo and good luck with the vigilante thing" he said kissing his sister on her head and walking to his room to pack his bag. Mona sat back down and continued to watch over her little sister
